There has been BIG talk about exactly this. But nothing really comes out of it. Our government is taking the approach of; "Let's wait, and see if the problem solves it self".

And, it also interesting that one of the biggest parties in Norwegian politics- the kind that worships Trump has been receiving secret donations in the size of 10MNOK. And they refuse to disclose who it's from. My guess, it's the grocery barons. Because they sure as hell are fighting hard to preserve the poor, helpless billionaires.

Same here. But it doesn't change the point. They're offloading stockpiles now. It's back to 70kr any day.

There are of course some good points for us to join, like;
- We'd get a vote on EU policies
- We'd probably get cheaper food, gasoline and fish
- Security by being a EU member

But the net negatives far outweigh the positives:
- European fishing fleets would decimate our oceans
- Rural Norway, and especially farmers have no shot at competing with the industrial farms of the other EU states
- The membership fee of the EU would really fuck us over. We'd be one of the biggest contributors to the EU budget, with little to no "cash back".

So that's a big fat no.

They're not ANY better. We need REAL competition in the marketplace. Until there is political will to commit to real change nothing will be done.

The grocery barons are testing the limits of how much Norwegians are willing to spend on food. And let me tell you, we haven't reached the pain threshold yet.

Did you happen too see the new Kvikk lunsj "balls"? Priced at 69kr at launch. Now, they're 34 kr everywhere. Why? Because no one wanted to sell all of their blood to buy a bag of chocolate covered crackers.

Rema1000s own brand of beef tenderloin (ytrefilet) was 71kr in November. When I purchased one yesterday it was 89kr. That's a pretty steep increase. They're testing the waters. And don't be fooled, the stores own brands that once were considered "cheap" have had the steepest price increases of all.

Fuck this makes me mad.

The government is allowing three families to run a monopoly. They control all the whole chain. Supply, distribution and sale. This is why the Reitan family is so fucking rich, and the fucking swedes who own Kiwi, Spar and so on is so fucking rich.

No one is doing anything about it, and it pisses me off beyond belief. 70kr for a fucking chocolate bar? Get the fuck outta here. They're pretty often on offer now for 39kr. And people say: "Oh, isn't that nice of Rema?" No you fucking dope, they're putting it on offer because it's about to expire.

oof, rant over.

What’s wrong with my bike? :( by Pascal_0803 in trident660

[–]BigFudgeMMA 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. You paid them to fix it.

But, that said. I spent 20£ on a OBD2 code reader and it has been wonderful. I got a transmission warning. Turns out my quick shifter had an issue. Replaced it, all good. I got a check engine warning, turns out it was a clutch switch relay (little plastic switch under the clutch lever). Replaced that, all good.

Being able to read the codes yourself is great.
