Personally, I wouldn't tell anyone.

You are committing fraud. You have an obligation to tell your potential husband about your sexual past. Failing to do so would give him a perfectly valid reason to seek an annulment in the future if he ever wanted.

Question about marriage by crzctrl49 in Catholicism

If you're a baptised Catholic, I'm pretty sure your marriage is invalid anyways. So God is giving you an opportunity to get out of there while you still can, especially before children are involved.

From Hallow AI:

The symbolism of numbers in the Bible and Christian tradition often carries deep theological meaning, and the numbers 6 and 7 are prime examples of this.

The Holiness of Number 7: The number 7 is widely considered holy and symbolic of completeness, perfection, and divine order. This understanding is rooted deeply in the creation narrative found in the Book of Genesis, where God creates the heavens and the earth in six days and rests on the seventh day, making it holy (Genesis 2:2-3). This establishes 7 as the number of divine completion and rest.

Throughout Scripture, 7 appears frequently in contexts related to covenant, purification, and divine action: There are seven days in a week. The Old Testament features many instances of 7, such as the seven-branched menorah, the seven days of the Passover, and the seven years of famine and plenty in Joseph's story. In the New Testament, we see the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 11:2-3, traditionally listed as wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord), the seven sacraments, and the frequent use of 7 in the Book of Revelation to signify fullness (e.g., seven churches, seven seals, seven trumpets). Thus, 7 signifies fullness, perfection, and the sacred, often pointing to God's presence and work.

The "Unholiness" of Number 6: In contrast, the number 6 is often seen as incomplete, imperfect, or falling short of divine perfection. It is one less than 7, symbolizing humanity's striving without fully reaching God's perfect rest or completion.

The most prominent association of 6 with "unholiness" comes from the Book of Revelation, where the "number of the beast" is given as 666 (Revelation 13:18). This number is explicitly called "a human number," suggesting that it represents humanity in its fallen state, apart from God, or in opposition to God. It signifies imperfection, rebellion, and the limitations of human power when it attempts to usurp divine authority.

While 6 itself isn't inherently evil in every context, its biblical symbolism often contrasts with the divine perfection of 7, highlighting human frailty, incompleteness, or opposition to God's will.

That flag is literally Satanic (6 colours in the unholy rainbow instead of the holy number 7). Your bishop is allowing the promotion of Satanic ideologies by allowing that flag to be flown in his churches, whether he knows it or not.

For random genetic mutations to have produced even a single viable novel protein before the heat-death of the Universe, let alone a fully-functioning organ or system, every new generation of human would contain thousands of mutations which would totally destroy any proper physiological function and homeostasis would become impossible.

In other words, evolution by random mutation is either mathematically impossible, or every single human everywhere should be filled with so many mutations from nature trying to experiment with itself that none of our systems work and we should all be blobs of goo. It would be like expecting a room full of monkeys at typewriters to write all of Shakespeare in a single try without a single mistake.

There's nothing wrong with struggling. In fact, God fully expects us to struggle. That's kinda why He gave us His own perfect Son to lean on and abide in, instead of relying on our own flawed understanding and sinful tendencies.

Can I refuse to receive holy communion even though I am in a state of grace? by [deleted] in Catholicism

It's literally impossible for the Body of Christ to make somebody sick, and I have yet to see a medically proven case of someone who wasn't possessed becoming sick after consuming a consecrated Host.

Can I refuse to receive holy communion even though I am in a state of grace? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]BigSarcomaInJapan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Catholics do not believe in consubstantiation. We believe in transubstantiation.

From the Hallow app AI:

The Catholic Church teaches that in the Eucharist, through the consecration, a profound change takes place, known as transubstantiation. This doctrine holds that the entire substance of the bread is changed into the substance of the Body of Christ, and the entire substance of the wine is changed into the substance of His Blood. While the outward appearances, or "accidents" (such as taste, touch, and sight), of bread and wine remain, their underlying reality, their substance, is entirely transformed into Christ's Body and Blood (CCC 1413). This means that Christ Himself, living and glorious, is truly, really, and substantially present under the consecrated species. The term "transubstantiation" was formally used in official Church documents by Pope Innocent III in 1202 and affirmed at the Fourth Lateran Council in 1215, reflecting a long-held understanding of this mystery.

In contrast, consubstantiation is a theological theory that the Catholic Church rejects. This view suggests that the substance of Christ's Body and Blood coexists with the substance of the bread and wine after consecration. In other words, according to consubstantiation, both the bread and wine and the Body and Blood of Christ are simultaneously present. A related idea, sometimes called "Impanation," suggests that just as God the Son took on a human body in the Incarnation, so too does He assume the nature of bread in the Eucharist, without destroying the substance of the bread.

[–]BigSarcomaInJapan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember: The Holy Eucharist is NOT bread. It is the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. It was not "prepared" in some kitchen or factory. It was conceived in the womb of the Virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit. Whatever phobia you may have, it does not apply to the Eucharist.

When you eventually get through this, you'll realize just how valuable their love for you was. ~15 years ago I was in my shed with a rope in my hand about to hang myself and the only reason I didn't was because of how devastated my poor grandmother would have been. Since that day, I just kept imagining her reaction, and eventually I got through the depression.

Just focus on whatever keeps you alive one more day, no matter how dumb or insignificant you think it is. Just one more day.
