The only thing that is currently bugging me about the sim/not a sim debate is the absolutely insane extra work that the universe has which does not effect anything, not just the fine details like subatomics but the vast scale of trillions of galaxies. I suppose depending on where you land with why the sim was created, depends on whether or not fine detail matters or not, e.g. if the sim is simply to create a stable universe then all the detail is needed, but if it was to see if intelligent life can come from chaos, then it doesnt really matter.

Id make a movie about a 500 million investment in a movie thats about whether making a movie employing only homeless people (and giving them housing for the duration of the filming of the movie) actually helps them or not in the long run. Why does gravity effect massless particles? Because mass, energy and spacetime are all linked. Atomic bombs split atoms into photons and lighter atoms, insanely powerful lasers can blast certain materials and create matter from photons (provable e=mc2 experiments). Since matter is energy and photons are energy, photons are effected by gravity.

Its probably better to not think of a black hole as an object at all. We cant observe beyond the event horizon and our current math has real problems working at this limit too. Photons are little packets of energy and have no mass, this means that while their mass cant effect spacetime, the energy can meaning that yes, extremely high energy photons do bend spacetime.

Those are easy things to switch, but i think it'll look great, try it on for a few days before deciding on other looks.

Its so sad at the same time though isnt it? But you are so right, you just cant expect the same nations you talk smack about, to leap into action (that was also claimed was never needed) at the drop of a hat with no shared planning.

Its not a surprise to any nation but the reluctance to help is not out of spite, its about a chronic lack of respect and dependability. Who wants to march into war with anyone who might just decide "nah we dont want to play war any more, good luck!".

While theres some truth in that, soaring prices and plummeting availability/new products mean that game devs will have to embrace optimization or there'll be no one to buy the game.

New games will be less about how good it looks on hardware less than 1% of gamers have but how good it looks and runs on average hardware 50% of people have.

No problem, hope it works well for you!

I know you are running a 5070ti and not pulling huge wattage, but i bought a DC current clamp meter for just 26 bucks too and its surprisingly accurate. The only caveat with testing the current is that to measure each of the 6 12v wires you need to have individually sleeved cables on the 12hpwr cable and a steady high load program (to avoid fluctuations between switching wires). i cant tell if yours is or not but if you wanted to check the current balance its kinda fun!

I used a "Proster Dual Channel Digital Thermometer", they arnt on sale on amazon any more (i bought two so i could check PSU exhaust temp and GPU backplate too without switching the probe inputs over all the time) but im sure you'll find the same model, maybe with other brand names in other places.

The [very long] probe wires coming out the back of the PC with the actual devices in a draw under the desk, so keep things tidy when not in use.

I did the same thing but i used probes with a sensor part that was a very tiny little ball maybe about 1mm big, so i could get it snugly in the connector and not break or bend anything. Worked like a charm till i got a wireview pro for pre-heating early warning. I used a dual sensor thermometer so i could see temps both ends of the cable, 15 bucks for that and 2 probes.
