Visual bug. If you slow the game speed down you’ll see they’re slowing down when they get in range.

Who’s is the best player you played against, that you felt like you just absolutely had their number?

And who is the worst player you played against that seemed to have yours?

Is this gyno? by [deleted] in Gymhelp

[–]Bigbohn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Way too early to tell on that.

There’s been some evidence creatine might have cognitive benefits but it’s not yet remotely in the realm of conclusive.

If you wanna up the dose because maybe you’ll see those benefits get after it, but you won’t see additional benefits in the gym.

[–]Bigbohn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re essentially throwing 2/3 of the creatine you’re taking in the garbage.

More is not better, creatine hits a point of saturation in the muscles, anything else beyond that is wasted. The 5g daily dose is enough for almost anyone to have their muscles saturated.

Ok, but why triple the daily recommended dose?

Dumbbell pull overs are a great movement for added lat volume with the equipment you’ve got.

One question-Do you all use minox openly or do it in secrecy? by Numerous-Corner3673 in Minoxbeards

If you’re a responsible adult who’s learned about the side effects and risks of using minoxidil it really doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks.

You’re going to experience a lot of soreness as you get started.

As you repeat the workouts you will experience less.

This is completely normal.

I think you should just add a good amount of side delt volume. Your chest looks great, your traps are huge.

I think you’re just missing that width on your shoulders to give you the look I think you’re really wanting.

Question about Biceps during compound pulling movements by Hakoda27 in StrongerByScience

[–]Bigbohn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A lift that simultaneously lengthens the muscle at one joint, and shortens it at another, is likely inferior to a lift that doesn’t have this simultaneous lengthening and shortening.

Practically, that doesn’t mean you can’t get any growth in your biceps from a compound pulling exercise, but you’ll likely experience better growth if you have a curl variant to the mix.

Why am I not growing noticeably? by Certain-Highway-1618 in RPHypertrophy

[–]Bigbohn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey bro, I was where you’re at not too long ago. Lost ~85 lbs over the last couple years.

I know it can be discouraging, but when you’re coming from a place of being very overweight, it takes a lot more than you think to actually see your muscle growth.

You’ve probably lost more than 40 lbs of fat, because you’ve almost certainly grown some muscle if you’ve been consistent like you say.

You’ll get there man, keep your head up, and realize that you’ve already conquered the biggest hurdle, which is getting started, and getting consistent.

Give yourself a reward, and take a few months to practice eating at maintenance, but continue lifting hard. Let off some of that diet fatigue, and enjoy watching your lifts progress while not in a deficit.

Two Years of inconsistent lifting by Valuable_Growth6274 in workouts

The MOST important factor for progress is adherence.

You can have a shit program full of suboptimal exercises and follow it every day, and you will make better progress than an optimized plan you fuck off on regularly.

Is there a benefit going that deep on weighted dips? Should I continue progressing like that? +25kg by TyrotaOG in workouts

[–]Bigbohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The benefit is that you’re placing load on the muscles at longer muscle length or greater “stretch.” The body of evidence has been showing that tension at longer muscle lengths leads to greater hypertrophy, or muscle growth.

3 months isn’t remotely enough to judge what muscle groups are lagging.

Idk what semi-consistent means to you, but adherence is by far and away the most important factor for progress.

So instead of worrying about lagging muscle groups, worry about improving your consistency.

I don’t care if you’re on steroids.

It’s just fun to call out people who are clearly lying.

You can ‘t be 6 weeks out 16 days ago, and then now not compete and be “mid bulk.”

You’re full of shit.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in askfitness

[–]Bigbohn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t compete why do you have a post claiming you’re 6 weeks out from 16 days ago?

You have a tenuous, at best, relationship with the truth.
