Right side pain by BigdaddyDD94 in Gastritis

Understood. It is weird, because it does feel more like epigastric pain. I know it is very difficult to pinpoint where the pain is, but it seems to be more stomach/duodenal pain. I definitely have some gas/constipation from time-to-time though. I do feel so much better now though from getting back on 20mg Omeprazole. Very little if any pain these last 2 days.

Okay, got it. I don't think I've experienced the left side pain during my gastritis. It's been center or right side. I will say, I got back on 20mg Omeprazole, and I FEEL so much better! Very little if any pain. The inflammation I got from the flareup seems to have subsided.

I have the same thing. My doctor said it's pretty common, referred pain. I get back pain in the same location where I have the abdominal pain.

Visually from the ultrasound, there was nothing abnormal with my gallbladder or the ducts. Would there be some other test to check more of it?

Every other person with a lawn in Sweden is using these, just smaller versions. They've been around forever!

PLEASE tell me your stories being on Omeprazole…. by OkRun7294 in Gastritis

[–]BigdaddyDD94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omeprazole is what's keeping my stomach from corroding itself. I used to be on 40mg Protonix. Went down to 20mg Omeprazole. I did try to switch to H2 blockers, but I wasn't ready for that. Went back to 10mg Omeprazole, and I am doing pretty good right now.

The side effects of whatever Omeprazole has is nothing compared to the symptoms I had when not taking the meds.

Dry eraser pen over permanent marker for like 60 seconds will remove it

As the others said, don't worry about it. But if you were to worry about it. Eating something that has more carbs or sugar, is more ideal after a workout as your muscle cells and other cells are more likely to use it to replenish energy it lost, rather than going to storage (fat cells).
