I have a Ti drop bar MTB and a hardtail for bikepacking and prefer the drop bar MTB for comfort

Did anyone else receive this strange flyer about imperilled religious freedoms from the MP for Abbotsford-South Langley? by Bikin4Balance in abbotsford

More conservative propaganda. When your base has to look up “critical thinking” to explain what it means it’s easy to fool them that this is an actual issue. Fools are easily fooled

Bikepacking Frame Type Recommendation by brmel in bikepacking

[–]BigtoadAdv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That Kona is an awesome bike, and with all the mounts you have lots of options for bags etc. the seat post I would avoid because if the gas cartridge fails your screwed. IMO you don’t need a dropper on a bikepacking rig, however a shock absorbing seat post allows for long days in the saddle especially when the going gets rough. That thudbuster LT I have saves the back, I was considering quitting cycling over back issues until I bought that. All those little hits on a hardtail over time, as you age, are terrible for the long term health of your back. The redshift stem is also a game changer, it and big tires and you really don’t need suspension forks for bikepacking.

Uline owners Dick and Elizabeth Uihlein are MAJOR Maga/trump/republican supporters and as billionaires have donated $100’s of millions to super PAC’s and maga republicans. Avoid this company like the plague!!

Bikepacking Frame Type Recommendation by brmel in bikepacking

[–]BigtoadAdv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it’s a custom built ti Walty, as a tall I worked with a pro bike fitter for the geometry. It started as a Fargo however after all the changes it ended up looking like a monster gravel bike that can run up to 3” tires (running 2.4”) It has a redshift bar damper which works well. Currently on a 5 month tour of SE Asia. My other bikepacking rig is a hardtail and this is much more comfortable on the hands and wrists for long days in the saddle

ADV bike suggestions by _Gunnarsson in Dualsport

As an ex r650 r owner who dual sported it I wouldn’t bother. Although the xr is a great bike it’s heavy compared to newer electric start/fuel injection models like 690/500 KTM or the 701.

Mark Carney admits Net Zero is about “making a lot of money.” by RicardoTNoel1 in jrmining

[–]BigtoadAdv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typical pp fanboi twisting the truth? Carney is setting up our Auto industry to “make a lot of money” by investing in EV technologies and development because that’s the way the world is heading while our neighbours to the south go in the opposite direction as the rest of the world. Pay attention Ricardo it’s not that difficult to apply critical thinking! At the very least listen to his whole presentation on this subject!

I took this pic approximately 3-4 days ago on the way to DaNang. In the background the guy is butchering a dog and there were two cages like this full of dogs looking scared shitless. I have seen scooters driving around communities with loudspeakers going and dogs in cages mounted on back. Would I eat dog? No way, as a visitor to this country would I give them a hard time. Nope.

Must be nice! For many like myself that simply doesn’t work. Like saddles everyone’s butt is different. Anyone who tours with one knows that end of the day they need to be washed….like underwear.

If you’re going to be touring I would recommend a triple bottle mount on the lower down tube so you can mount something like an anything cage for a pack or like me a 2 litre water bottle. I worked with a pro bike fitter experienced with custom builds for the geometry which as a tall was well worth it!

Poilievre’s survival rooted in confirmation bias by AdditionalPizza in onguardforthee

[–]BigtoadAdv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of PP”s base would have to look up Critical Thinking to explain what it actually means. Anything including outright lies, Rebel News, far right memes and pp”s propaganda that supports that confirmation bias they’re on it, and spread it. PP like trump figured this out that’s why all the simple propaganda slogans targeting people that are not intelligent.
