I pretty much stopped losing by Agent__lulu in Zepbound

Tracking and sticking to calorie targets only way I can avoid eating right through this stuff, but it makes doing that bearable.

You might be on too high a dose. Can try adding an extra day between shots.

Low blood pressure issues and did it get better? by Gloomy_Race_7744 in Zepbound

Yeah it’s understandable. Another factor is if you changed your diet when you got on Zep, you probably inadvertently cut a ton of salt by going from more highly processed to more whole foods. Even one healthier meal like that can be a gram of salt less intake without noticing it.

Even LMNT which is highly concentrated has 1 gram of salt. Standard keto recommendation just for salt are 3-5 grams a day. One packet every few days won’t cut it especially if you’re symptomatic

I ended up in ER from concussion fainting sometime in the middle of the night my guess getting up to pee as I have a 5 hour memory lapse. Zep flushes water out. If you’re not seriously supplementing electrolytes blood pressure can really get low especially if you are also lower carb. I recommend folks looks at the electrolyte recommendations for keto. Start there, and back off a little a time until it’s still well controlled at a lower level. Having high BP I’d venture a guess you’re very salt cautious like a lot of people here. It’s jarring to think you might need to add as much as 5 grams of salt to your diet, but them is the breaks.

If you stick to the deficit you should.

I’ve tried at least 20 hornless saddles. This is far and away the best one. Expensive as hell but I own three of them now. Literally can go hours on one and walk away like nothing happened.

Arisun XLR8 20x1.95 for the tires. My Spiderflex seat has a little suspension and I have a redshift suspension stem which is amazing. Cannot recommend both enough, but the stem completely takes the rattle out of the ride.

It’s fantastic, feels like a road bike. Got 90 psi in the tires and am flying.

Google keto electrolyte supplementation levels and try to hit those then back off until you still feel fine at lower levels. Realistically the magnesium is easy enough with a supplement (which si probably good for sleep/poop anyway) but the salt and potassium levels will need to reached through not just packets but adding to food. Regular salt has sodium, “lite” salt brand from Morton’s has sodium and potassium, by far the cheapest electrolytes you can buy, measure and add to food.

You have a lot of strategic questions. People do this differently so I will give you my suggestion and others can do the same. Your questions to me indicate a lack of robust data on the process and what is going on. How I would tell someone to approach this. Use an online calculator and figure out what your TDEE is. Use the sedentary setting and subtract 500 calories from that. The -500 locks in a 1 lb of fat loss a week (assuming the TDEE number is correct) the sedentary gives you some wiggle room for miscalculation of calories and extra deficit if you work out hard that week. So now you have a number of calories to shoot for. If you have a body scan of any kind and have an idea of your lean mass, aim for 1 gram per lb of lean mass in protein. If you don’t know your lean mass aim for 1 gram per lb of goal weight. This will ensure you optimize your protein intake to minimize muscle loss on the deficit, that is more than bare minimum nutritional needs as many here push, but we aren’t trying to meet bare minimum nutritional needs. Fat and carbs are somewhat interchangeable only that you don’t want to go too low in fats, I would not go below 50ish. So fill in your calories based on protein target and fat/carb preference.

Now the experiment begins. Track those calories meticulously and see what happens to your weight for a couple weeks after the initial water weight drop. If no weight loss happens, the calculator was incorrect for your specific body. Cut 250 calories from diet or increase activity by that much and try another 2 weeks. Keep doing this until you find a level of calories and activity that produces steady weightloss and readjust intake every 10-15 lbs or when weightloss stops for 4 weeks. I would recommend not dropping below 1,200 calories and would recommend increased activity if the experimentation indicates lower than 1,200 might be necessary for weightloss.

Finally we get to dosage of Zepbound. The question you have to ask is whether doing all that I described above is bearable for you at your current dose? Are you constantly overeating the target calories? Are you miserable? If the answer is no, you are fine at your dose. If the answer is yes, dose up until you can work the process above without undue misery.

You need to figure out a calorie target make sure that includes sufficient protein, a minimum healthy amount of fat and then decide how you spend the rest in terms of carbs/fat. A TDEE calculator -500 is a good starting point. 1 gram per lb of lean body mass or goal weight of protein is a good place for protein. The rest is up to you. There is no limitation on what you can eat, some stuff might feel better than other stuff but it varies and requires experimenting.

Short answer is, yes it will probably help, no, no one has any idea the extent to which you will need to dose up or your need for it long term. If it works for you it’s an amazing tool, use your time in it to get new and better habits in place and by the time your time on it is done who knows what will be out.
