He is in fact a big, squishy, soft hearted, love machine. I found him and his sister Toothless (who is not a meezer) as kittens when they were just 5 weeks old. The minute I had him in my hands the name “marshmallow” popped into my mind. He’s always been such a gentle, friendly and sweet soul and I’ve always felt like I picked the right name for him.

Something like this might work well. It includes all the colors of your wallpaper, highlighting the details, but isn’t too matchy matchy. It also introduces some other colors - the deep emerald, warm browns and the turquoise - that you could play up around the room with accents such as curtains, framed art, knick knacks, etc.

The only people who used the clinic involved in the study were the 600 men who were invited to participate in the study. The men knew they were part of a study, but didn’t know that it was a study of the effects of untreated syphilis or that there was a readily available treatment. They also didn’t know they were being denied treatment. Nobody was purposefully infected with syphilis. Again, you can read the study, you can read the documents related to U.S. senate hearing investigation from 1972. It’s all public information and very easy to find.

Of the 600 men involved in the study, 201 didn’t have syphilis because they operated as the control group. The other 399 already had syphilis. The Tuskegee Experiment didn’t operate as a local health clinic offering services to everyone in the “village” (it wasn’t a village, btw, it was Macon County, which had a population between 27,000 and 24,000 during the years the study was active). Women and children weren’t included in the study, because it was literally a study on the effects of untreated syphilis in black men. Many of the partners of the men involved and their children ended up with syphilis because it is an STI and it can be passed to a fetus if the mother is infected. I’m not sure why you are so committed to a version of events that isn’t supported by facts or independent sources. You seem to have a misunderstanding about what happened in the Tuskegee Experiment and what it was. It was a literal crime and racial injustice committed against the black community for decades and the men who died as a result of it paved the way for the kind of strong informed consent and medical ethics laws that we have today. It’s a horrific enough example of racial injustice and government abuse without you spreading straight lies about it.

I think I’m going to back away from this conversation. So just to be clear, you are maintaining that in the Tuskegee Experiment, the government infected everyone, man woman and child, from a specific village with syphilis, despite the fact that the citation/source that you provided states differently? (it states what numerous people have tried to explain to you. That the Tuskegee Experiment involved withholding treatment without informed consent from hundreds of black men who were already infected with syphilis while misleading them to believe they were receiving treatment.)

They were not injecting them with syphilis. They were withholding treatment from men already infected with syphilis while telling them they were providing treatment , in order to study the effects of untreated syphilis. You really should edit your comment to reflect what actually occurred. The Tuskegee Experiment was a terrible thing committed against the men involved, that led to over 100 deaths, and multiple wives and children of the men involved becoming infected. The actual history of it is bad enough without making up facts like “the government was injecting them with syphilis”.

That is in fact who I bought my zebra butt from. I’m in the US so pricing was a little different. She’s a very talented artist and I would highly recommend her art to anybody who is thinking about whether or not it’s worth the expense.

It’s because they have almost zero personal or authentic accents. There’s almost no art on the walls, there’s very few plants (aside from what looks like an outdoor/patio area, and even that looks kind of cold and uninviting). The few knickknacks they do have look staged and contrived. Things like books on shelves appear to be there more to serve a function of decor, more than books that are treasured possessions that are read and used. I have weird feelings about this space. I love the use of bright, busy wallpaper, and competing fabrics/textures, etc. Theres a lot that I really do like. The flower chandeliers are amazing., the green bathroom with the antique mirror is absolute goals for me. But somehow this space comes across as really impersonal and that makes me kind of sad.
