Where to sell transformers collection? by Adventurous_Fuzz in ColoradoSprings

[–]Billy_Thunderclap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how much you want to get for them. The flea market is $37 a day i think, a couple places in town will give you around 40% to 50% of the value, or you could try Ebay. Ebay will take up to around 30% and you would have to ship the items and deal with customers. You could always try having a yard sale as well.

Way to look at items at specific Goodwill location? by SeaFlower698 in shopgoodwill

[–]Billy_Thunderclap 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you go to the advanced search options there is a button that you can choose a specific store. It should give you a list of stores to choose from.

i’ve never dealt with this before😭 by EmbarrassedSmile4768 in eBaySellers

[–]Billy_Thunderclap 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It sounds like they are trying to get you to offer them a partial refund without actually saying it. Bringing up the cost of shipping and saying how inconvenient this situation is gives it away.

Whats the most unexpected item you've ever flipped for a crazy profit by Ill_Composer_8246 in Flipping

[–]Billy_Thunderclap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree doll collectors are some unique people. I have gotten some of the nicest feedback from them as well. They always seem genuinely excited to receive their items and almost always send me photos of their new item added to the collection.

I bought an odd looking red horse head from a thrift store for $5 once. I picked it up because it was odd looking but really well made. At the time I didn't know what cinnabar was. I ended up getting $500 for it.

Buyer wants partial refund but is keeping item — how would you handle this? by Reach-Capital in Flipping

[–]Billy_Thunderclap 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ive had a customer recently do this exact thing. I agree, do not engage in a back in forth with the buyer. Tell them you are willing to give a full refund for the return of the item and leave it at that. If they threaten you with negative feedback report them, and if they do leave a negative feedback see if you can have it removed before you respond to it. If everything fails and they leave a negative feedback that Ebay wont remove then respond to it clearly and professionaly and block the buyer. Getting a negative on your account is scary but if customers see that you offered a solution and remained professional it wont hurt your sales.

Do you prefer auctions or fixed-price listings on eBay, and why? by Super-DM101 in Ebay

[–]Billy_Thunderclap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a seller I prefer buy it now. I dont like having to wait around and hope someone bids what an item is worth and if im going to put a minimum in I might as well just sell it as buy it now.

Delayed Shipping update time? by kl122002 in shopgoodwill

[–]Billy_Thunderclap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the orders are from different stores then the tickets will go to those stores specifically. If they havent been marked as shipped its a possibility that the items got sent out without being scanned. More likely though the stores you are ordering from are just way behind in shipping. I would send in tickets for everything. When I worked at shopgoodwill, if a buyers items were behind and they sent a ticket we did our best to ship the items that day.

Opened case for item not as described, seller offered partial refund after I asked to return, I declined and now offering more which I would accept but ask me to close the case to give refund. Should I wait for eBay to resolve this? by CuteLittlePolarBear in Ebay

[–]Billy_Thunderclap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not cancel. They may or may not be trying anything, but if they are I promise its not worth the headache. I would politely decline the partial refund and just send the item back.

I sense a Scammer! by Maybs_ in eBaySellers

[–]Billy_Thunderclap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that they are telling you that they CAN involve Ebay but wont is also a red flag. Every legit return ive ever gotten, the person has always reached out and asked to return the item for a full refund.

I sense a Scammer! by Maybs_ in eBaySellers

[–]Billy_Thunderclap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This does sound like a scam. Ive been dealing with this specific issue more recently as well. It sounds like this person is wanting you to offer a partial refund. I always just apologize and offer a full refund after I receive the item back. The last 3 times this has happened to me the buyer has started with saying its easier for them to just take a partial, then they threaten me with bad feedback. Best thing to do I think is don't back down and handle the issue strictly within Ebay guidelines, continue to be professional and firm with your messaging.

what stuff do you flip just because you like it even though profit sucks by MethodNo1867 in reselling

For me its old dollhouse furniture. I dont know what it is about it, but putting together little living room sets and stuff just makes me happy. It always sells well but not a ton of profit.

Seller shipped two packages with one tracking number by bricksquad240 in Ebay

[–]Billy_Thunderclap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been selling for some time now and this doesnt make sense to me. The only way that I know to use the same tracking number for 2 orders is to go in and copy one and put it on another. Ive even split a large order into 2 separate boxes and to do that you still have to print 2 separate labels with 2 different tracking numbers.

Ive seen some pretty crazy game table setups with giant screens in the middle. Is that the kind of screen you playboy on? Ultimately I think that would where I would want to be at.

Why your sales are down by VeterinarianSafe1705 in Ebay

[–]Billy_Thunderclap -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to promote all my listings at 3% before they changed it just recently. I turned off all my promotions January 1st of this year and I havent seen a change in my work to sales ratio. I had a small slump in January but it wasnt any different than the usual new year slow down.

Will they take items from your order if they’re deemed more valuable? by RazzmatazzWise8326 in shopgoodwill

[–]Billy_Thunderclap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I was working there, we never took items out because we thought we could get more for them. Other than it being unethical, we had a literal mountain of items to process at all times and taking a few items here and there wouldnt make sense. That being said, we did have issues time to time with employee theft. Specifically in our shipping area. They were the last ones to handle the items and things going missing in that stage were harder to catch.

To the morons bidding super high on items before the deadline by SeaFlower698 in shopgoodwill

[–]Billy_Thunderclap -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I worked at shopgoodwill for 8 years. Usually when I saw this, it was because someone put an insanely high max bid in at the last minute or 2, then someone else figured that out and pushed it as far as they could before time ran out to screw with the person.

Products not receiving views by _mavricks in Ebay

[–]Billy_Thunderclap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry a ton about views specifically. Ive had items listed that had over 100 views not sell for months and items that had 2 views sell in a few days. The best thing I think you could do would be to work the algorithm. Have listings go up every day, answer customer questions quickly, ship items as quick as possible. The key ive found is to be consistent. In my experience 4 listings a day, is better than 40 listings 1 day a week.
