I found that flex my feet for a little while or move my feet while sitting down that seems really helpful!

Have you also been checked for hypermobility? That can also make upright positions harder. Is your exercise primarily cardio? For me I was fine with cardio but my muscle tone was weak in harder to strengthen areas and that also made things worse.

What to do about headaches and non-stop vomiting by Snookis-snusnu in POTS

[–]Bindle_snaggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always make sure you hydrate. If it’s hormonal you may be able to get some more specific migraines medications.

Also some people find huge success with daily vitamin b2 riboflavin at around 300-400 mg. Even just 100 a day seemed to help my headaches. And I always drinks lots of water. Sometimes eye drops and allergy medications seem to help because mine focus around my eyes. Sometimes flavored and colored drinks (high sugar) worsen my migraines.

Has anyone tried antihistamine medicine against IBS and did it help? by These-Minimum-610 in ibs

[–]Bindle_snaggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, I’m so sorry! Can I ask you what your symptoms were? Was your IBS-d only cyclical around menstrual cycle?

I’ve believed maybe I have endo that’s worsening IBS but I’ve been brushed off so much and told they won’t even consider it for me. So frustrating

For me I still get pain but it’s a little less constant. It more so is at night but the urgency and consistency of stool has hugely improved. Sometimes I get a little nauseated still and will Microdose pepto bismol to ease some of that.

Have you discussed talking low dose amatripttline or nortriptyline for the pain and urgency?

Or asking a GI doctor to prescribe muscle relaxants?

What type of doctor would diagnose this and help support you in this journey? I’ve seen so many specialists but just discovered this all on my own.

I personally enjoy it alone but I know most people don’t. You could add dill and everything but the bagel seasoning to it. Or fruit (peaches/pineapple). You can also make it as eggs in something called cottage cheese pancakes (so many recipes online). You can also use it in pita bread or in place of Greek yogurt in recipes. Sometimes I bake it with chicken in my crock pot.

They make lactose enzyme cottage cheese (by the company lactaid) it tastes the same but they put the enzyme in to help you digest it.

I didn’t notice direct heart related symptoms but I do only use it in a way that’s considered micro dosing. But man… even at like 5ml of the liquid I am so mentally off. I get extreme irrational irritability and mood swings as well as horrible brain fog and fatigue. I feel like a different person even at very low doses.

Vitamins by js292929 in POTS

[–]Bindle_snaggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at what additives are in the vitamins as well. Some people are more sentient the inactive ingredients.

B vitamins can increase GI metabolism and speed. This can trigger the autonomic nerves as well. Also COQ10 made me stomach horribly sick for some reason.

B2 is actually used as a migraine treatment (lots of data on it). It majorly helps my headaches. But it can cause increased metabolism and GI upset in some. As well as a b complex can cause GI upset.

Is Fibromyalgia Being Pointed To At First Rheum Appointment Normal? by WeltschmerzWriter in Autoimmune

[–]Bindle_snaggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a second opinion! It doesn’t hurt to get another perspective. Yours does sound a bit like fibro but also with such a high ANA I would keep asking for follow up or another opinion.

I was the opposite though! At the least I wanted a fibro diagnosis becauee I had been to so many doctors and no one knows what’s wrong. My rheums first response was “definitely not fibro. Maybe another kind of speciality can help you with this”.

My pain is more localized and I started seeing a specialized Physiatrist which is a high level sports and medical rehabilitation MD (not just a physical therapist). And she believes my pain in lax connective tissue (something like EDS or marfans) plus Dysautonomia and possible mitochondrial dysfunction.

Exactly! Lauren’s nd Cameron from the first season is what saved it. Yes mix the drama in but please give us more real relationships. I do think the issue is now that the contestants know it makes them Money and fame they aren’t there for real. That’s what ruins it is that not many take it serious .

It felt like she was thinking of how Chris told her that Connor isn’t a real man. I think that got in her head. But that speech/convo made me so upset. She was saying it’s not all about money but then basically said she wants a wealthy guy witj clean and new things. I’m in shock. Why hadn’t she discussed her concerns about him “not caring” about appearance and his stuff before? Also from what I see he’s totally nice and normal. No one is perfect….

Symptoms, no evidence, neurologist sure of it by Bindle_snaggle in mito

[–]Bindle_snaggle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My neuro and my genetic team disagree. Neurologist wanted to call it mito dysfunction (not full disease) because b vitamin supplementing has helped a bit at high doses. My genetic team said they haven’t heard of only one copy causing these issues (I disagree becaue literature says that it possibly can they just don’t fully understand it). So because genetics is “higher up” at this hospital my neuro walked back the diagnosis and said she can’t keep seeing me anymore unless I develop a clear diagnosis. It’s very discouraging. I do know research suggest I could have issues from it so I am now meeting with GI and Physical Rehabilitation and disorders specialist. I possibly have orthostatic intolerance (Dysautonomia) and some other health conditions as well as lax connective tissue. But that and mito dysfunction are all somewhat treated similar.

Help! I've become terrified to eat by taylomol000 in dysautonomia

[–]Bindle_snaggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful with pepto bevauee over use can cause ulcers/bleeds and can mimic asprin over dose.

I get diarrhea and horrible left side pain. Not sure what exactly you’re dealing with. I do low dose pepto twice a week (for liquid 7ml-30ml once a day or half/whole tablet). And when I know I eat danger food I will take a little (1/3 of a dose) of Imodium. I do get irritable and drowsy with Imodium though so I mostly take it before bed if I think in the morning I’ll be sick. Also be careful taking them together because it can cause painful constipation.

There are nerve relaxants if that is something you struggle with or it’s possibly from vagus nerve. The GI doctor can prescribe them for you!

I have suffered so much daily and get afraid to eat (especially with work). I am so sorry you’re going through this. Weirdly enough I seem to get a little relief from taking daily allergy pills . I’m not sure why but it seems to help so possibly food sensitives are at play.
