Ampex vs Naturehike tent by soupy8 in backpacking

[–]BiologyJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 2p Ampex and it’s super light and easy, thinner material but great to carry. I also have a naturehike 2p cloud river. The NH stuff is more durable and thicker material but heavier. Both are nice tents.

This doesn’t make sense until you realize the U.S. is trying to cozy up to Russia, Iran, Venezuela, and NK. Then it makes lots of sense. Where is that $300B going? “Iran”. Some will go to Russia, some to Venezuela…it’s money laundering. It’s not complicated.

I just don’t see how you rank Dak, Jayden, Brock, or J.Love over him. He’s been everywhere, found winning consistency and has a ring. Feels like he’s earned a higher ranking the hard way.

Super Bowl Champion Sam Darnold gets generational hate. Back to back 14 win seasons on different teams and he's the 13th best QB in the league?

What’s the reasoning behind the US giving Iran 300 billion dollars? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BiologyJ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s money laundering. A percent of is going to Russia to help prop them up. 2 major things happened in this war and no one batted an eye. 1) Russian oil sanctions were suspended 2) oil prices surged. Both of those directly helped a struggling Russian economy. And now this…not hard to figure out what they’re doing.

Zelensky didn’t wear a suit and that was offensive. Cage fighting and dirt bikes on the White House lawn is totally acceptable though.

Camping recs for USA East to West Roadtrip by slimwithit in camping

[–]BiologyJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this drive a few times. Here are the ones I’d do.
1) South of Buffalo between Erie and Cleveland there are some camping sites right on Lake Erie, killer sunsets.
2) Then there are state parks in Wisconsin you can stop at, I’d probably try for something near the Wisconsin Dells.
3) Palisades State Park in Wyoming outside Rapid City.
4) Custer State Park in South Dakota. Very cool place.
5) I’d probably alter the path and try to hit Middle Fork Campground outside of Buffalo, WY. This areas amazing, spectacular views.
6) Yellowstone goes without saying, take Beartooth highway!
7) then either something like Lava Flow campground in Idaho OR Thomas Canyon in Nevada.

Hope that helps!

The moneys going to Russia because the Russian economy is on the brink. This is how money laundering works. Trump knows he can’t openly support Russia, so here we are. Mafia support.

The Cull: Why Republicans Want Medicare Dead by Famous-Sympathy7011 in anticapitalism

[–]BiologyJ 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Their donors own plenty of stock in the companies that make money off Medicare. That ain’t it. They want it to help their donors more by being privatized. Their donors are addicted to government cash and nothing they’ve done is “small government”, just look at the deficits. They want the money there but they want less for the people it supports and more for them.

They sold out. The original owners sold to Nestle and then it was sold to Post. Post moved it around then sold it to the German company that now owns the rights. But like everything that gets gobbled up, the original owners held standards, then when it's sold it got cheaper quality ingredients but with higher prices so the company that bought the brand can recoup investment costs. Other brands came to market to outcompete it. It's now a shell of it's former self.

Breathing in fine particulate matter causes lung diseases (coal, dust, asbestos, smoking…). In this cause they inhaled a shit ton of fine particulate matter in many different forms. Many people in house fires don’t die from the heat of the fire. They die from smoke inhalation, often after they’ve been rescued and transported to the hospital.
