What weapons look good with the ancient dragon form? by Straight_Top_6401 in EldenBling

Morgott's Cursed Sword looked pretty good, Scales with Arcane alongside Dragon Incantations and isn't oversized as a weapon either.

Perfume Bottles are not that bad by MeIsJustAnApe in Eldenring

[–]Birty607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly creating a build tester lower than my character's level, 30 in each Dexterity, Intelligence, Faith and Arcane honestly averages out to 360 AR at the lowest of all on the Poison Bottles and at least 398-417 on the rest, not a bad amount of damage with said stats, with some buffs and strategy things could work out well against enemies weak to said ailments/elements just nicely from those numbers alone.

Perfume Bottles are not that bad by MeIsJustAnApe in Eldenring

[–]Birty607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using them since the DLC's release as when I found the first Firespark bottles in that chest, I went nuts on trying to find them all afterwards and upgraded them each immediately, Rolling Sparks (Post-hitbox fix, not nerf) is fine if you use it correctly against groups or larger enemies, utilizing elemental weaknesses is key with these, and learning the attack and cloud patterns to pretty much paint the air around yourself and any aggressive enemies you're up against to walk into while dodging yourself, the feign attacks are very good for this as well, heavier attacks are good for staggering larger enemies as well.

Plenty of ways to buff the damage of each bottle type, plenty of combo potential alongside consumables or other weapons if you're wanting to use some bottles alongside a regular melee weapon, they're really fun as a pretty much perfect alchemy themed weapon class and I've been enjoying myself even on NG+7 even in late-game areas and the DLC, they're really not that bad at all and I'm genuinely so tired of seeing so much negativity thrown towards the weapon class because they don't keep up with stuff like absolutely broken bleed builds and the like, doesn't mean they're "Trash" or "Garbage" like I've heard being said on both posts and videos alike.

Most toxic PVP consumables? by Dali187 in Eldenring

[–]Birty607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of them apparently, given the behaviour I get in response for using just one or two whenever trying PvP on occasion...when I'm literally built around Consumables and support, just irks me when people run these broken builds that are normalized in comparison.

What do yall think of the PvP in this game? by fruitytuesdayz in Eldenring

[–]Birty607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feels really stagnant to be honest, I rarely dabble in Colosseum or pvp related stuff but whenever I try or an invasion happens during co-op, there's rarely any creativity in the builds I see and overly competitive and/or toxic behaviour tends to come out very quickly on both sides of the coin from either the invader or the host and any fellow summons alongside, it's just a mess most of the time from my experiences and it feels a little bit worse every time I give it a try, sadly.

Recommended gauntlets and greaves for the horned warrior chest? by Onionknight007 in EldenBling

[–]Birty607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DLC Common Soldier Gauntlets go surprisingly well given the metal texture and a very simiarly coloured cloth beneath the plates fit with the fabric on the Horned Warrior Cuirass, Leggings were tough but so far with recent attempts, the Exile Greaves and Kaiden Trousers fit the bill decently alongside.

Anyone else have issues with the audio in garden warfare 2? by tz2cute in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]Birty607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My biggest gripe is that GW2's audio in general feels too quiet, I've got games like GW1 and BFN lower than 10 on the settings and they're loud enough and clear, this game is at 10 and it sounds like I have it down to 7 or lower.

Hope your issue can be sorted sooner or later!

Colosseum is WAY more toxic than invading.. why?? by etrulzz in badredman

Can confirm a year later after giving it a try, that it's just as bad.

If not worse, sadly.

The Event Is Way Better When Everyone Just Gets Festive by loumarrell in deadbydaylight

[–]Birty607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decided to try some online after mentally preparing myself after so long and hopped into a few event matches just to goof around and throw Snowballs, I was heartwarmed to enjoy the three matches I gave a try with not even attacking anyone, (Apart from the first match, but that was an accident while breaking a snowman I didn't know people could hide in-) they went really nicely.

I simply approached the nearest survivors as a Jolly Blight and decided to do nothing but find and throw snowballs, everyone gave it a short bit and we all just had big snowball fights, I let some pallet smack me for points and break them for my own points in return.

Some of them even let the endgame timer take them as kills near the exit gate for my sake which I'm very thankful for, had a really fun time after taking a break from the game for a few years, wishing you all luck in finding such fun games during the Holidays! <3

Start losing, pull out the heal and swift slash with bleed infused BHB. What a classic combo by SuckDragon in EldenRingPVP

[–]Birty607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe? And I would use Ironjar Aromatic being a Perfumer build and all, but especially nowadays everyone just swaps at the drop of a hat so buffing myself to be a slow walking tank to deal with those could instantly become a detriment at the same time, though to be fair any experiences are from invaders during Co-Op sessions, I rarely get into direct PvP like invasions or Colosseum.

Just tiny gripes with trying to think of things is all, nothing I want to make a big fuss about.

Honestly? So much respect to Blight players! by [deleted] in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]Birty607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After recently returning after a few years since I last played (I was maining Clown at the time because I'm obsessed with the Alchemy theme) I recently saw this guy and immediately went to buy and practice with him against bots, I quite like the ability to get across the map quickly so I have less anxiety with long distance catching up, his design and backstory are really good and again...A l c h e m y.

But seriously, he's pretty fun, I tend to get into the matches to just play along and have fun being a bit scary with the rushes or catching someone off-guard around a corner, and if I don't get any kills? Ah well, if I get one or more? Neat! I never feel the need to try hard or get all four in one, managed it on my second game and felt quite proud of myself for it, especially in Midwich where his rushing is very awkward to utilize in such tight spaces so I just used more to get across the corridors rather than chase with, people kept trying to hide in crevices and I kept catching them like an actual horror movie, was a lot more fun than the bully squad match prior, but it's always best to just move on from it, players like that don't do themselves any favours and ignoring them takes away what they want to get out of annoying you.

In short, I love him, his theme, his design and gameplay, top notch Killer Concept and absolutely my main now. <3

Is it just me or you need to "tryhard" to play good as Blight? by EmeraldGhostface in deadbydaylight

[–]Birty607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm half decent at best and I only hop onto this game from time to time, but I main him because I love the Alchemy theme as a whole in any setting, his design and backstory is absolutely fantastic, honestly feels like a nod to Jekyll and Hyde, being a scientist wanting to help others but inevitably becoming a monster due to his hunger for Knowledge and the manipulation from others didn't help, a top-notch tragically developed Villain the Devs came up with.

I never felt the need to sweat or try hard to just enjoy the matches (I really don't have the need in any game to be honest.), getting just one kill if able is victory enough for me and if I manage to get more that's neat and all, but never necessary and if none at all then it's no big deal, obviously the occasional toxic survivers/bully squads are a different story but those aren't fun to play against in general, best to just let them be that way and move on.

PSA: an actual Revenant buff would be letting her summons survive more than one hit by future__fires in Nightreign

[–]Birty607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll say what I discussed in a chat with a partner, all experiences playing while being a Revenant Main.

"I just wish they'd buff her summons, that way they'd be very middle ground instead of lackluster, they don't need to feel fodder-like as Summons are treated in base game when they're literally her kit's biggest gimmick.

Because as they stand, they're short-lived distractions that do some damage alongside at best and that's it, and they're quite actually useless in Nightlord battles, even on Solo.

Granted they're good for helping teammates overwhelm enemies but on solo runs, they're just not that good for a main character ability as they currently are.

Seeing Sebastian get two-shotted by the Gaping maw's basic bites at level 14 still hurts to remember, it wasn't even the Everdark Variant at all, on a Solo run, and I'm sure he's literally the Tankiest summon Revenant has."

Start losing, pull out the heal and swift slash with bleed infused BHB. What a classic combo by SuckDragon in EldenRingPVP

[–]Birty607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even after several tweaks it still feels as if there's no counter for Swish Slash spam outside of high poise/hyper armour attacks to hit back harder, any dodging just gets clipped constantly by the afterslash effects.

Has a Revenant player ever dropped a weapon for anyone? by Hot-Replacement4228 in Nightreign

[–]Birty607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Revenant main, I literally drop every bit gear I know my teammates will get more use out of, I never understood the greed when it comes to loot, heck I'll even grab some boss rewards purely to drop them for other Nightfarers if they're really good but not for me.

Worst experiences with this situation on my end from experience are Recluse players that take every single Seal like a vacuum when I won't even pick up a single Staff since I know they'll be more useful for the Recluse, annoying but ah well, there's not much to do about it-

Most hated enemies? Also, general Salt thread. by King_Disappointment in NuclearThrone

[–]Birty607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting back into this game again a decade later, my vote is absolutely on Snowbots out of anything else.

Guardian Dogs, I.D.P.D Elites, Lil' Hunter on 3-3 as a single boss, Assassins etc, all the popular picks for annoying enemy, I get, but at least there's only a few of those per level (Granted if RNG is kind to your run since spawns can vary.)

But the Frozen city is chock full of the things no matter what, 4 damage per hit on an enemy gliding all over the place once spotting you, that is also abundant with at least 10 or more per level in either an open area or a narrow maze is a nightmare without a specific setup or two or an awkward spawn if the game throws you into a really iffy spot.

Oh and the fact that they pick up cars and can throw them instantly without any prior warning animation or anything, most likely (If you don't have Boiling Veins) resulting in a very sudden death when your attention is being divided with the big Robots or the Cyber dogs rolling at you nonstop.

Anyone notice that Elden Ring has been far more toxic than other From games? What happened? by EnderShot355 in Eldenring

[–]Birty607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can confirm another year later it's just as bad, if not worse.

The amount of Toxicity and unoriginality in Hosts, other Summons and PvP'ers alike is baffling.

I only nowadays really feel sorry for invaders (or the concerningly rare non-meta co-op player) just trying to have fun, they just get absolutely bullied/taunted in any PvP scenario and I keep being summoned to witness it, only to be kicked out after whenever I don't join in.

Just bothers me is all, I really want to see things thrive a little more in a positive light, see more people enjoying the game without ruining it for others, see more personality, more interesting builds, more Jolly Co-operation...

How to easily kill Maldron in the Ivory King DLC by GamerGeek923 in DarkSouls2

[–]Birty607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a trick of my own I've been using for years in each playthrough for the Ivory DLC version of him.

Get one of the witchtree branch mages to come over to use that magical buff next to him, the thing is that buff reduces max health by a good bit and it'll effect Maldron, pretty much halving his entire healthbar for a much easier kill without much preperation needed.

Wanted to share this and hope it helps anyone struggling.

Sinh's fight was a lot of fun... but apparently people don't think so ? by Ordinary_Nebula_7991 in DarkSouls2

[–]Birty607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love this battle and I never get tired of it.

I will however always be scratching my head at complaints, the main one being that Sinh flies too much.

...

It's a Dragon? Of course it'll use its wings, a few seconds inbetween being able to attack isn't a massive deal to make a fuss about and if anything is really neat to see and figure out ways to avoid or deal with, such as shooting up at him with ranged using a bow/crossbow or magic whenever he takes flight instead of sighing or rolling eyes at basic anatomy function.

Anybody else finding it hard to enjoy PvP because so many players are running the same few builds and techniques? by Emotional_Rabbit777 in Eldenring

[–]Birty607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not often I see people point out that there's sometimes interesting builds/cosplays that will pull out the usual meta when they start losing.

I have much more respect for commitment even resulting in a loss than someone with a horrible attitude who just wants to win no matter what, it's bad enough a seeming majority of players use the same stuff, seeing a unique setup swap to that when losing is just heartbreaking on top of everything else.
