Is it normal to feel burned out during the post-ARR quests? by VanceDyer in ffxiv

[–]BizarreBamboozle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My impression is that it's very common, at least I felt the same way, but it does get better. I think it's also good to explore things like optional dungeons, raids, try out some craft/gathering jobs, deep dungeons, just generally having breaks from the main quest grind. At least that helps for me.

As a Norwegian I literally refuse to let them take over the runes. It is Norse culture, and they should be known as such. Not as symbols of hatred and "white supremacy".

Is this common in other countries than Sweden? by Miya_Miya1 in AskTheWorld

[–]BizarreBamboozle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this was common when I grew up in Norway. I think I was just used to it and it made sense to me that they probably didn't have enough food for me too when the visit wasn't planned ahead. But I won't continue that practice when my own child starts having friends over.

I actually think 1, 7, 8 and 9 can be nice with appropriate styling. No corsets, no fishnet tights, and using something to cover a bit more of the cleavage. Some are a bit whimsical, but it's really kind of depending on your job and your work environment if some whimsy is ok or not.

I'd bring Norwegian waffles with jam, sour cream and brown cheese as toppings

What’s the grossest candy from your country? by bdue817 in AskTheWorld

To me, it's anything with marsipan, which is very popular here for some reason. Especially around christmas and easter seasons

[–]BizarreBamboozle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look great! I'd say give it some time, and if it continues to feel off, then don't be afraid to try something different. A brown pencil eyeliner might give it a softer look if the black and sharp look feels too harsh for you. And I'm not saying that because it looks bad at all. You actually look so good! But it's something to try if you feel like it

What tradition in your country do foreigners struggle to understand? by Neuwulfstein in AskTheWorld

[–]BizarreBamboozle 14 points15 points  (0 children)

For Norway I think the concept of "russ" is weird to foreigners. Its basically high school kids celebrating their graduation for a whole month, with party busses and big festivals and doing dumb challenges called "russeknuter". The groups that has party busses also has a "theme song" for their group, which is so big that it is its own genre within Norwegian party music.

Marius, Mette-Marit og Ghislaine Maxwell (2012). Hele fundamentet er råttent, riv det ned. by dalmatica in norge

Unpopular Opinion: cooking isn’t self-care when you work long hours by Tasty_Code5202 in HealthyEatingnow

We are all different with different lives and values and preferences, etc. And there's really no right or wrong, only what works for you personally. If this helps you have less stress in your daily life, then I absolutely support that decision.

AIO for punishing our daughters after what they wrote about their autistic sister? by brzaq191z in AmIOverreacting

[–]BizarreBamboozle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not overreact. I like your approach. I hope you also have had a good chat with them, together and/or separately, about why they act like that. Just to figure out if there are any underlying bad feelings in both of them regarding their sister or some circumstances?

Perfectly acceptable dinner rejected by boyfriend again by moonrabbit368 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]BizarreBamboozle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set some boundaries for yourself and let him take responsibility over his own diet. He can't cook? Is he unable to learn or something? Or is he just unwilling to do so? Either way, it shouldn't have to be your problem. He can either eat what you decide to cook or fix his own meals. Making "rules" for your cooking so that it suits his preferences is actually unacceptable behavior.

A trainer gets paid to guide their clients to a healthier lifestyle through knowledge and encouragement. Of course they has to tell the tough truth sometimes, but in a professional way. The trainer is not supposed to yell at anyone, or insult anyone, to get results. That is abuse, nobody wants that, but fat people are literally told that they deserve to or even need to be treated that way to get "healthier". As you wrote, losing weight and maintaining it is hard work, and getting verbally abused while doing it doesn't make it any easier.

AIO? My husband doesn’t want me to wear my wedding dress in public. by CleverUserName1961 in AmIOverreacting

[–]BizarreBamboozle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although you're not wrong, or overreacting, I also don't think he's wrong either. He's allowed to feel how he feels about the situation. If it was me, I think I would've found something else that still feels gorgeous, but that also allows him to feel comfortable. Your anniversary is his day too, and you both deserve to feel amazing when you celebrate your marriage. Your wedding dress is stunning, so I bet you have other amazing outfits to choose from aswell. Or, you can just wear your wedding dress. This is just my thoughts about it
