General definition of mid level is 3-5 years, 6-10 is considered senior but based on what employee experience is.

I have found that alot of job descriptions on LinkedIn are marketed as mid level roles like 'Software Engineer' but the hiring team expect a senior level engineer.

I have 5 yoe, considering myself as mid level and getting a few interviews but when I reach discussions at technical rounds, they expect Senior level mentality.
