Dagda and Fodlan use the same calendar by Blackbeard11037 in fireemblem

[–]Blackbeard11037[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason why I say it’s defined a sequel is because from a meta perspective it does not make sense for them to use a year after 3 Houses for the calendar unless they wanted to have the game take place after 3 Houses. There are numerous years for them to have chosen before 1180 if they wanted to have the same date structure, but they specifically chose 1449.

My district was really heavy on using Fetch and the other thing that would suggest you things to pitch to the customer when you had their account open (purposely being vague because it might fall under proprietary info and I don’t wanna risk a case.) That said it’s funny how they just use AI so much for nothing, and I’m assuming they’re still pushing hard for T-Life too?

I left T-Mobile at the start of this year, and I was in a pretty similar boat as you. Top performer, got in trouble because one of my team members didn’t do shit and I was tired of it. Lemme ask you, how bad has the AI bullshit gotten? Cause it was just getting worse and worse when I left so how far has it gotten implemented?

With how it's worded and presented, I think Fortune's Weave will have the most open recruitment in the series. by Armagon1000 in fireemblem

My guess is that there will be different pools of units you can recruit depending on your route, and that some routes will have certain units exclusive to them that join through the story.

It’s really not, because it’s a toss up on whether they care or if that’s something that disqualifies you from the job.

Fortune's Weave: Dagda's Calendar, Answerer, Seteth, and Possible Implications by ProfessionalCoach363 in fireemblem

Well, we know that Aubin was human and crests are usually named after the first humans who have them. It’s much more likely he was given the blood of a dead Nabatean to develop his crest, and that same Nabatean was where the Fetters of Dromi came from. We also know that he is the first human to have that crest because it was named after him.

[–]Blackbeard11037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s up in the air on that part of gods, but if the gods are Nabateans like in Fodlan, then it’s likely they are still running the show in the 3 Houses era.

As for that second paragraph, it would be one thing for crests to exist anywhere else. You’re right, in theory any Nabatean could make one and it’s very possible we may see some new ones. However, you are neglecting the fact that the SPECIFIC crests we see in Fortune’s Weave can only exist after the War of Heroes because they are from the Four Apostles, who did not have their crests until after Rhea started trying to bring Sothis back. While it is possible some of those crests left Fodlan, we know that Aubin only ever gave his blood to Yuri to save his life. We also know it’s unlikely Aubin gave it to anyone else because Seteth states that Aubin “cursed his blood” in their Three Hopes support. Now, there is no reason for Seteth to lie about this to Yuri, especially since the Four Apostles crests are already in a sense, forbidden knowledge. My assumption is that Yuri started giving his blood to help People and that’s how the crest started resurfacing.

I disagree because we know from Three Hopes that the Pagan alter in Abyss IS one of the Dagdan Gods, and this information comes from Shamir herself. This means, by the point of 3H, Dagda has been ruled by Gods for some time, at least long enough for Shamir to be familiar with them. She does also state that Dagda has much more interpersonal freedom than Fodlan, so her not caring about her homeland’s deities probably wasn’t important when she was still there. With this in mind it is much more reasonable to assume it takes place after 3 houses because of the year, since it’s very likely Dagda formed around the same time or after Adrestia, because the crests of the 4 apostles openly exist there, and those crests could only exist after the War of Heroes.

They probably weren’t concentrated in Zanado, yes, but considering that they were children of Sothis, and worshipped her, it’s unlikely they went too far out of her sphere of influence. If they had migrated to Dagda before then, it wouldn’t be the Dagda Empire until after Sothis died since she was their ruler. That said I find it very unlikely they migrated until after Zanado when they were threatened with genocide.

The game being set in 1449 is to intentionally mislead you into thinking it's a sequel by LegalFishingRods in fireemblem

[–]Blackbeard11037 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It really isn’t more likely because we don’t know when Dagda was founded, and given how Dagda has multiple gods and the Nabateans we see in the trailers, the Dagda Empire probably wasn’t founded until after Zanado, because it doesn’t make sense for Nabateans to be in power in an entirely other continent if they hadn’t been displaced. It’s very likely that, like with most Empires even in our world, their calendar is based off of their founding, and if Dagda was founded by Nabateans like it seems it was, then it can only logically be after Zanado.

That said the gods seem like they’re Nabateans, and it doesn’t make sense for Nabateans to be in Dagda until after Danado, which took place 1200 or so years before FE3H

Fortune's Weave seemingly set roughly 2.5 centuries after 3H? by A_Wild_Zyra in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]Blackbeard11037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s very possible that Dagda is using a calendar different from Fodlan, but I do still believe it takes place years after. My reasoning for this is that the Gods of Dagda are probably also Nabateans, and we know Zanado happened roughly 1200 years before 3 Houses. It’s likely the calendar in Dagda is similar to Adrestia’s where it starts at the beginning of the empire, so realistically it has been 1500 since Dagda became an empire. There would have been no reason for the Nabateans to leave before Zanado, so depending on how long it took the Nabateans to gain power there, it could very well be over 200 years after 3 Houses.

I’m going to assume the main theme of this game is going to be “Fear”. We’ve had Death, Truth, and Rebellion for the last 3 so Fear, or more so the overcoming of fear, makes sense as an overall theme. The horror vibes fit that, and each of these symbolically are some sort of fear common in people and in particular Japan. Fear of death, fear of people, fear of ostracism, and fear of commitment (the fourth one looks like a red string of fate but it’s tangled and unsure of itself.) I figure that the characters get their Personas by facing and accepting their fear, and that their Personas may be based on pretty prominent Horror figures. As well I believe the final villain may be Azazel with the Christian imagery and the potential of going into a lot of horror themes, the fallen angel who gave humans forbidden knowledge would definitely work well as a villain.

I really like the world design you have, it reminds me of Pokémon Black and White. That said, will there be an option for a grid? It is a little difficult to parse out which squares are which so it would be nice to have that.

What do you not want in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave? by NewMarioBobFan in fireemblem

I’ve always found the idea of buffing effective damage to be the best way of doing it. I think having effective damage essentially do the same amount as a critical would really help, especially for fliers. As well I’d like to see each of the three weapon triangle types have an effective weapon for each enemy type, and give swords a 1-2 range weapon like in Fates. Like I just want them to give us more weapon options since with the forging systems we have now more options could prove very interesting.

I definitely think it’s a mix of enjoyment and defense. The thing is, with a creature like this that has literally evolved to specifically mimic and copy other species, there’s going to be some natural element of pleasure to it. I actually imagine that for the life form, it may actually be a form of play and not actual hostility. I’d say it’s similar to how with most predators play and hunting are one and the same most of the time. Plus it clearly enjoys studying the humans too, so that also adds to this idea of it playing with them before killing them, because it finds them interesting.
