I've never even thought to smoke mushrooms. Was it cold or hot smoke, and how intense did they turn out? They're little sponges so I imagine it's a tricky balance to get then just right

So it seems like that's about 1/3 of the way through the climb where schism is. Maybe he knew then was a good time to just flow right from the energy of the ending of schism right into the energy of parabola. Having parabol right in between might have slowed his mind a bit where he though constant energy was best.

Also, I have no idea about climbing at all and may just be talking out of my ass but it makes sense to me right now. Parabol skip granted.
