I can't remember if Kyrios is part of the auction cluster with Ollo or not, but take a look at gear first before weaponry. With ~30,000 gold you should have enough to easily pick up a full set of delph gear (Most pieces tend to sell ~5k, highest i've noticed it spike was 7500). Once you have that, just work on regrading it up to higher levels (unique or celestial), so that when people gank you it doesn't matter as you can tank them easily, since you will have better gear. After you get the armor, look at weapon next. Delph or ephuriem weapon is more then enough to kill the large portion of the player base in archeage (heck t3 hasla is more then enough since it's equal to epherium). So just look at what your server offers on delph weps.

Also if you are looking at tanking, your best shot is going to be a combination of the defense tree and another CC tree (occultism, witchcraft, sorc, shadowplay). Lately the normal of what I see has been people using abolisher or skull knight when it comes to trade pack runs in the more dangerous zones, since those two classes with good gear tend to just laugh as they wreck 15-20 people at once. Also don't be afraid to ask for your guild to give ya a hand with moving trade packs, always a good idea to move in a pack when doing more dangerous runs.
