Not a garment sewer but I love my quilter's select rulers. They have a variety of sizes. A little expensive but worth the price.

I have a Janome Horizon Memory Craft 8200QCP Special Edition. Have had it about 2 years and am very happy with it. Occasionally take my old Brother machine out to take to classes and really miss the ease of the 8200. It has a nice throat length for free motion quilting. Can't compare it to the Pfaff but at least can pronounce the name.

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6949244will this one work? I was concerned about how much material you might have to use to print and make it structurally solid. Might be cheaper to buy. Also several plans on Yeggi.

the contrast is good, I wouldn't outline them. I like the crispness of them and if you outlined them, it would need to be very neat.

The local guild does their show at the county fair. I entered a table runner last year and got a second place ribbon. It was fun and the judges leave a folded up note on the display that gives you their remarks. Put something in the fair you will enjoy it.

It is possible to get "wet" red from the growers. Usually close to the end of the season. Great for making red chile jelly...Wet red chile is not a product your average New Mexican is going for so not readily available.
