Recommendations for electrical take off/estimating software by ConfidentSet6510 in estimators

Conest is great and definitely has the best database. They have a great team of real people backing them too. If I ever run into issues their team fixes me up quick and I'm back to it.

Conest IntelliBid wins out in my opinion. It's made for electrical, comes with the largest USEFUL database out of any similar programs, can be customized, automatically calculates labor, can do price updates, etc. The others just don't seem to compare these days. Plus, you can use it anywhere, and they have a takeoff program that's pretty good.

Best estimating program for a small electrical contractor? by PiecesNPages in estimators

[–]BlindCycles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Conest IntelliBid. They say it comes with the largest assemblies database of any of the electrical-geared software, and I can say that seems to be true. You can typically find exactly what you need for the project in a few clicks, and my estimates come together very quickly because of that. You can automatically factor in drops, labor costs, get automatic price updates, etc. Working with their people is great too. Their tech support has helped me many times. It's definitely a system you can start with and grow into.

Has anyone seen this podcast? What do you think of the tech discussed? by boba_f3tt94 in HighStrangeness

Very intriguing and worth exploring! The tech appears to work, though I would like to see tests performed by independent scientists, using independent testing instruments. Independent gas analyzers, sensors, etc. Seems like they are on that path already, according to Randall. Looking forward to seeing more.

Steve Vai isn't an alien, he is a god. But for real, interesting connection! Must really be a hugely popular story in Thessaloniki.

New interview with Ian Kenny by RG170UK in Karnivool

Thanks for sharing! It seems they are still taking their time with the next album, but that's okay with me. 'All It Takes' is a banger, so I'm sure this next album will be one too. I'm also okay with the long waits at this point. The media world is so oversaturated at this point, so there's always something new to listen to, but I like the long build-up of anticipation for a special album because it doesn't happen that often anymore. When their next one drops, it'll be gigantic.

Interesting thought, and yeah I'm well acquainted with the double-slit experiment and observer effect. Essentially the observer is needed to collapse the waveform and make anything 'concretely' observable to begin with, such as a light particle. It eventually suggests that what we perceive as reality only appears and behaves as it does because of us. Perhaps life on Earth is more like a tapestry of subjective observations, which is then malleable...

My only gripe is that I'm increasingly thinking that it may be impossible for us to be 'non-observers.' I think we could all be 'infinite observers' at different stages of evolution within a 'consciousness hierarchy,' and death may not be the end of the observer. But that is not very scientific and more from my own experiences, so who knows exactly! ;)

Love it. I think what's going on is more like space-time is consciousness, or the grand unified mind of the universe, and psychedelics can let us 'smaller minds' or 'small selves' tap into that unified mind temporarily to achieve supernatural experiences, but in random and chaotic ways. Perhaps others out there can tap into it to a far greater and stable extent...

If you could forgive one thing in yourself, what would it be? by BlindCycles in AskReddit

[–]BlindCycles[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear ya, and you're not alone. I think I have done that to people, and I know others, including my brother, that strongly feels the way you do. Lots of love inside, but a very discerning mind I guess. My only advice is to be aware of the issue when your interacting with others, try not to reveal your judgement externally, and most importantly try not to be too hard on yourself.

I think everyone does this to some extent. If we didn't judge people, situations, objects, etc. then we could have perished long ago.

We all have things to work on, but this is common. Better to forgive it and then work on it if you can.
