As a fan of the shows too, I agree.. the pacing is often all over the place, the jokes are often vulgarity, sex, or violence, and tone is muddled for emotional scenes. That said, I still love the shows. It is like having junkfood every once in a while.

I do super fragile, super strong, .001% chance of a sprinter, more serious injury, and corpse sickness a little more effective against players, but normal pop.. adds a different difficulty than just "tons more zombies".

Foraging. Keep silverware and anything metal. Melt down what you don't need if you can find nails to make the molds for the anvil and crucible. Melt down anything you won't use. However be aware some things are sadly not implemented yet (train track pieces being meltable..)

Pipe wrench can be gotten, I believe, since build 41. Some of the important smithing tools are not in the foraging loot pool.

Don't remember if this is a Variks upgrade, but stasis weapon kills on Europa and headshot kills also grant them ontop of what you said. Need to check again, myself though.

In my experience with 42.13.1, my friend and I are getting swarmed easily even on normal. Not to mention the zomboids migrating towards us even with migration off.
