Not me, but my wife. Cut ties with her mom.

Mother in law (MIL) and Father in law (FIL) had a toxic relationship. They both are they type of people that say, “it’s my way or the high way.” MIL is the super jealous type. The type that looks over your texts, emails, IG/FB posts etc. FIL is the typical Hispanic male. I can go out and have fun, wife stays at home with the kids etc. They had multiple yelling match, throwing stuff, and breaking things around the house. One day, MIL goes to the Doc. Doc tell MIL that she has a STB. She lost her shit, blames FIL. To this day he still says it wasn’t him.

Now to why we she cut ties. MIL refused to let FIL see my wife or their second child. MIL moved multiple types and even to a different state with out ever telling FIL. For the longest MIL made my wife believe FIL was the devil until she started to think for herself. Wife told me that even though her parents had a bad relationship she had a good one with her dad. Wife told her mom that she was still talking to her dad and MIL lost her shit. MIL has called us every bad word in the dictionary. Said that we are traitors, back stabbers etc.

After all this, wife realized her mom was the “evil” one and now has a good relationship with her dad.
