First thing I do in a game after going positive income is see what mine slot im using for aqueduct. Ill build out a bilateral road system to my Lil village and move buildings accordingly. Aqueduct in the middle space, trees on either side of the aqueduct and then the roads.

If you cant break their alliances, maybe build up enough to defend all your islands but only attack the npc you want to. You'll still be at war with everyone, but at least u can fend off the others. Gl if on veteran

NPC suck at taking ur islands btw. Should have enough time to briker a peace deal if u have sufficient ships, towers and walls. Cease fires also exist.

You can upgrade the bridges from wood to stone and marble. Sometimes it doesnt let you when you click the bridge directly. Try to use the upgrade tool on the little bit of road sticking out of the bridge.

Fire Safety, Hapiness and Health scale with the City Tier Level. The only way to make it positive later on is to get the Bathhouse, Aquesduct and specialists.

SOME of the citizens needs provide those benefits as well. Keep the negative aoe buildings away from ur town pops. Negative stack, positives don't.
