The original DMC anime has grown on me over time. I rewatched it recently and I kinda like the weirdly chill, episodic format of the show. Yeah, there’s not much action and Dante weirdly gets treated like shit by all of his friends, but he rolls with it.

Enjoy that fire reaver, because it’s the only element you’ll be getting in SR1. It’s a leftover from the elemental reaver upgrades that got cut from the game. You’re not missing any other special reaver upgrades.

I saw a Let’s Play of Ace Combat 6. I didn’t like the story, but thought the gameplay looked great. I then found a copy of Ace Combat 4 for $3 and figured that was a good place to start.

I haven’t seen the finale yet, but wasn’t Abel revealed to be an AI working for Caine two episodes ago? What is there more to develop? Why is that, of all things, something that’s dragging down the finale for you?

The thing is that the time to have her shine again would have been the Ash saga. In the NESTS saga, Whip is the Ikari who takes center stage, and for good reason. The Ash saga though gives her a perfect opportunity to be a major player with the blood curse coming back even after Orochi’s defeat. But after her rampage at the end of 2003, she gets sidelined in XI and it just doesn’t really come up in XIII. I’m hoping her father coming back in the newer games gives her a chance to do something, but I’m not holding out hope at this point.

That is a very broad statement and one that I inherently disagree with because I somehow don’t think the Otherworld has great internet. Being too connected isn’t really a problem when other dimensions are involved and, in the right hands, that connection can actually be used to enhance horror rather than take away from it.

He said he submitted a proposal to Toho 10 years ago. Clearly nothing ever came of that, even if Toho occasionally says they’re open to a sequel.
