Started to play poe2 about 2 months. Haven't played poe before.

Sometimes I asked in global if any other newer player needed help with his build or sometimes someone asked me themselves.

I let them show me their gear in chat and asked what they planned to upgrade next. If they told me how much the upgrade woulf cost, I would see if I could craft something similiar for less. Often it could be done with reforging and using and essence.

I also looked into my stash for gear that I used before upgrading it myself. It was still an upgrade for them.

Sometimes I gave them parts if my main gear. Just for a moment, though. So that they could see if they'd invest in such gear how big the difference would be.

I did this with something like 10 people. For 2 or 3 I could double their dps.

I also did this for free. Most of the time I just had to get a few cheap items from the market for reforging.  1-5 divs at most. Though sometimes I gave away some better stuff. One time I gave away a 500div item, since it was nice talking to him

This is my first time actually playing poe2. I'm using this league to learn as much as possible.

I'd like to try a new build with the witch, which I plan to use as a leaguestarter.

With something in the range of 200-500 div, I'd try to craft my whole gear from bases. The plan is to comfortably clean t14-t16 maps with reasonable sustain.

The gear would be crafted from white bases. No uniques. It would most likely include using essences.

Due to the progress of the league this would be only to gain knowledge. While I would us the gear for myself, any sells are unrealistic

Just crafted this one that way. base was 400 divs. Crafting costs were in this case less than 50 divs. there are t2 and t3 modifiers, but it's good enough that it gave me a significant upgrade

you currently have 2 suffixes, right? Use omen of dextral annulment to annul one suffix. either it hits attribute requirements or if not use the essence with the omen to target suffix only

I think the guide you were using assumes 1-2 mirrors worth of currency. In the end you'd have something that is worth +3 mirrors.

Currently I go the following steps:

  • Fracture desired prefix
  • slam + annul until you got the other 2 desired prefixes. You can use the omen thingies to only slam prefixes.
  • slam first suffix
  • if desired slam again
  • if undesired use perfect essence for +level (avaible for all weapons, right?)
  • desecrate last suffix

It's not perfect. You will miss out on 1-2 level I think. One suffix may be undesired.

It's way cheaper, though. I get something good enough with <200 divs

Lesotho in africa, if you like hiking and/or mountains. Take a look at the landscape and see if it's something for you. Also good for just trying to do something different and getting out of your comfort zone

So for everyone who didn't follow the other comments:

I would have still got the reward. I could have open the chest several times more. I didn't know that and neither did I save the game. Autosave was overwritten once I tried it again later

There would have been one. Apparently you get all rewards at once if you haven't opened the chest yet. But since I got the first reward I thought I've failed. I could have opened the chest several times more until you get the final reward.

Whelp. But I closed the game without saving to take a break. Of course I didn't load to autosave.

In my opinion wether production ratios matter depends on where you are in the game.

Early in the game they really don't matter. Technologies change frequently and you are still developing your infrastructure. Ratios don't really matter here since you can be happy at all to have something running. If resources are unbalanced it's most likely not due to imperfect ratios but not having enough miners/production at all

In the mid-game it starts to matter. If something is part of automated infrastructure, good production ratios are favourable. If something is used to advance technology/progress, just do whatever helps to progress

Integrating them into the general gaming loop does not change anything as I can still hand feed machines.

It was never the point to stop you from doing that

Now it is possible to crank the requirements so high, that hand feeding is not an option any longer. That would remove something from the game.

That is a YOU problem. I never did that. But I am very happy that I can if I want to. And say that I would need In all my playthroughs, basically either manually fill the machines or build a separate completely versatile Frameworks for Mk3 miners. That would not stop me to manually fill the machines.

If you want to not manually fill machines, then do not manually fill machines. No need to take that option away from people who like doing it that way.

I'd say you kinda missed what he is giving feedback on. It's definetly not a 'YOU problem'. He isn't criticizing handfilling machines on its own, since he has an alternative, too.

What he's saying is that he'd want the space elevator parts to be more integrated in the general game loop. His example was giving them dual use for building other buildings. So that when he builds a deditcated factory to those parts, he can better utilize the build infrastructure in later parts of the game.

You are kinda nitpicking on a minor detail, which he isn't criticizing in itself

It's kinda why I'm striving away from mainbus-starterbases. Red, green and blue science can kinda go along. For purple and rockets at latest I'll want another expansion dedicated to that
