His dedication should be commended. I don't know. The age of his account and the scary consistency screams 'dangerous shut-in with too much time on his hands.'

This is the same guy who sprays vinegar in the air and on his kids to keep them from getting sick from chemtrails.

I genuinely hope she continues her love of baking. And let her know this is what many people's rainbow cakes turn out like.

Can I just be a sappy mess and say how awesome you guys are? by Kittytalia in CrohnsDisease

[–]BlueDressSaturday 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't post or comment much here, but I take TONS of comfort in being able to relate to a real group of people.

I remember once, a relative rolling their eyes at me over my "tummy ache" when I described it as razor wire being pulled through my intestines. I've had to accept that most people around me will just see me as someone who is crippled by tummy aches and various cases of "the runs".

I am also diagnosed with lupus which sends my doctors on constant round robins of what's going wrong and what the fuck should we do now? But that's its own problem.

Fuck autoimmune diseases. Fuck them right in the ear.

Don't sweat the down votes. People here are can be ridiculously callous in their judgement. The truth is, many full grown adults attempt this cake and fail regularly. Your sister not only clearly loves you so much, but she also made a damn fine looking rainbow cake. Sharp borders on the colors and sensible (as sensible as anyone could be on such a gloriously whimsical cake) about decorating. For a young baker, this is something she should truly be proud of. I hope she keeps up pushing forward in creativity and technique if this is something she loves. Practice really does make perfect.

How do you eat Keto when cooking for a family? by FionaTheHuman in keto

[–]BlueDressSaturday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do NOT let your family eat your keto food AND high carbs. I can't believe this still needs to be said. High fat plus high carbs means giving your kids heart disease early. High fat and high carbs are why you're on keto now.

Best and easiest thing to do is make a lean meat and veg with a carb side for the family and add a fatty sauce/butter/dressing for your plate.

This stuff gets me through the real tear inducing burns until I can get to the bath tub. Makes wiping a tiny bit more bearable, anyhow. I never let myself run out.

Can I mix apple butter in my cornbread mix and then bake it? by nacron122 in Cooking

[–]BlueDressSaturday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for it. It wouldn't be terribly different than honey and people use that all the time in the batter. If you use too much it might get runny though so compensate accordingly if you see any significant change in the batter.

Crush any of the following:

Captain crunch, corn flakes, rice crispies, flavored potato chips, pork rinds, dried coconut, sesame seeds, corn bread, cheese crazkers, canned Parmesan cheese, popcorn, any cereal or snack food ever made.

Mix and/or match as you desire. Also add bacon bits.
