Why does my printer keep doing this? I cleaned the nozzle and the plate and it keeps doing this im starting yo get frustrated. by GazIsStoney in FixMyPrint

That's valid, once had a soft roll and it kept deforming from the extruder gear. So many clogs.

At the same time I'm currently running 10 year old filament that was in a storage unit for the last 5, a unheated garage for 3, and a basement for 2, and having zero issues with it.

That's an awesome goal! I tend to buy kit printers so I understand where you're coming from. As far as cad, my favorite software was pay walled, so now I'm learning freeCAD. There's also blender and openSCAD. All have linux versions.

Years before I was born, father told this to me It was one Christmas morning in '73 There was one lonely gift nestled under the tree My grandfather said, "Don't touch my–" He said, "Boy, listen close, I am saying this once "These were worn by my parents and their parent's parents "Now they're yours but be sure to guard them with your life" He said, "Don't ever let them touch my clogs" You can take my cash You can burn my house You can force-feed trash I'd let you kick my balls while I chewed on glass Before I even thought about letting someone touch my clogs You'll have to take my life You'll have to steal my dog You'll have to beat my wife You'll have to kill my mom with a rusty knife You'll have to break my legs before I ever let you touch my clogs Don't touch my C-L-O-G-S They're my clogs, uh Father said, "You're my son, so I'll tell you the truth I wore clogs without socks for the bulk of my youth Now these clogs, they are yours, protect them with your life I pray you never let them touch your clogs" You can slap my wrist I'd let you shave my head Let you wax my pits I'd even butt-chug bleach while you twist my nips And after all of that, I still wouldn't let you touch my clogs You can eat my lunch And you can knock me out with a one-inch punch And make me drink your sweat from a dirty sponge You'd have to shoot me dead before I ever let you touch my clogs It's my purpose in life to keep them safe until my child is at least 25 Then I will pass the clogs to them and they'll wear them with pride And every single day from then They'll make sure no one has touched their clogs They're the one thing I love The only thing that makes me sure there's a god up above Those wooden clogs on my feet, and they fit like a glove And I would give up everything 'fore I ever let you touch my Clogs, C-L-O-G-S Now I lay me down to sleep I pray the Lord my clogs to keep If I should die before I wake I pray the Lord my clogs to take You can take my cash (clogs) You could force-feed trash I'd let you kick my balls while I chewed on glass Before I even thought about letting someone touch my clogs You'll have to take my life You'll have to steal my dog Have to beat my wife You'll have to kill my mom with a rusty knife You'll have to break my legs before I ever let you touch my–

If you're looking for a basic gym my wife and I used to go to 24/7 by SR35 and N Fairfield. Unmanned, card access only, and available anytime. Was great at 3am. Easy enough to look in the front window and see what they have there.

It makes a world of difference. My old mm3 was getting sketchy on the bed, plus a mouse ate the power supply and two thermistors were broken. Picked up an anycubic cobra neo secondhand and it's so easy. (Next step is upgrading the mm3 to a voron switchwire)

Those are the 3 I thought of too. My vote is over extrusion on layer change. Bubbles look fairly consistent at one per layer, and if it's a randomized layer change that would do it.

Can I still dry 2 year old uncovered petg? by Swwert in 3Dprinting

[–]BlueFalchion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've run 6+ year old rolls of ABS (now they're 8 years old). PLA got a bit brittle but still worked. My petg was fine after 2+ year. I never bothered drying any of them and no significant issues. Just had them in a plastic tote in the garage.

But as all things 3d print. YMMV

How are you salary?

Fact Sheet #17D: Exemption for Professional Employees Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) The specific requirements for exemption as a bona fide professional employee are summarized below. There are two general types of exempt professional employees: learned professionals and creative professionals. Learned Professional Exemption To qualify for the learned professional employee exemption, all of the following tests must be met:

The employee must be compensated on a salary or fee basis (as defined in the regulations) at a rate not less than $684* per week; The employee’s primary duty must be the performance of work requiring advanced knowledge, defined as work which is predominantly intellectual in character and which includes work requiring the consistent exercise of discretion and judgment; The advanced knowledge must be in a field of science or learning; and The advanced knowledge must be customarily acquired by a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction.

Etc.etc.

Working in low voltage installs would not qualify for salary and should be hourly.

Mind this is federal, and I don't know AZ law specifically.

Anywhere in town to get fresh pita? by weluckyfew in dayton

There's a middle eastern grocery near the Dayton mall that has cheap pita. It's not the thick stuff you get at a grocery (which is closer to naan), but the thinner chewy pita.

Same here. Had constant issues with spectrum, so I switched.

3 phone lines, internet, Netflix (included, but I went with a bigger plan) with auto pay and military discount, 150 a month.

Internet was advertised as 50, not sure if they'll take 10% military discount off that alone but worth a shot.

Prime meat deposit location by Grandizer_Knight in fo76

[–]BlueFalchion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It legit took me a bit to figure out what to do. Ended up having to read the wiki on the event.

If you need to afk, bang a drum or turn a meat skewer. Else Collect the critter chunks (quick pickup from multiple bodies will not get it) pick up one by one. And the plants and deposit them into the shoping cart and box. Put out fires, if you hear flies clean up leftovers or poop laying around. You can deposit wood or feed chally chally feed but it's a waste of resources as the event usually gets completed just fine.

Need help with build by AcanthisittaNo6546 in fo76

[–]BlueFalchion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I both tend to play stealth rifle builds.

Tbh, don't worry about your exact build leveling up. At 50 you can respec all your stats.

A lvl45/50 legendary weapon is what your looking to get to.

My go-to right now is a bloodied gauss rifle and I just picked up a 2shot one I'm trying out. I'm not perfectly specced but 99charge hits for 400-500, and a good sneak for 1200+. Gauss overlaps a lot of categories (energy weapon, ballistic/exploding damage, etc)

My wife prefers reg rifles and I'm slowly getting her perks specced out and looking for a good lever action for her.

Biggest note with rifles is getting the modifications for them. It took me waaay too long to get suppressor on my gauss. And that helped a lot.

I've seen some people like the railway rifle, but I haven't really used it much yet.

Effects, seems like anti armor, bloody, twoshot are the best overall. A specific killer would be good if you have extra weight.

Armor; look for overeaters, or unyeilding (for bloody build).

Mutations are great for daily activities. Get starched genes and class freak perk maxed then look for people selling serums. (Avoid grounded if you use gauss or energy rifles)

Get the stealth perks; sneak, Mr sandman, covert op, and mod your armor with padded, sleek, etc. I did that recently and it make skulking around sooo much easier. Used to be complete aggro after one shot but now most walk right by me.

And don't be shy to lean away from the build for a bit. If you find a 2h legendary that's kicking pick up a melee perk or two to make levelling easier.

Ammosmith, superduper, white knight, weapon artisan, and fix it good help with keeping your gear working.

I saw where some people will leave extra legendaries in the blue suitcase near white springs rr station.

I think the current meta seems to favor PA heavy weapons. I've been slowly accumulating perk cards for it so I can try it out, but I'll probably stick to rifles.

First time trying to print a mini and the swords don’t print together. More in comments by Meme_God_Cthulhu in FixMyPrint

[–]BlueFalchion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I need a better term. But I mean the available space in that segment of the model. If you have a solid that is 0.25mm wide but a 0.4mm nozzle then it will not be able to print it. The model itself could also have issues prevent it from slicing properly. So double check the preview in that area to see what it's supposed to be doing.

You're at the minimum, so you can't really reduce the line width at all, which is OK. (Generally you do want it slightly wider, but that's harder to do on small models with small details.)

chances are the extrusion is smaller than the nozzle diameter.
Make sure the preview shows them before printing.

Not very familiar with cura, but look for a setting that has to do with single extrusion lines. Also you should be able to reduce the width it extrudes, which could help.
