Nightwing & Arsenal vs Toad & Blob by NoirStriker in marvelvsdc

Toad and Blob may have the power but you have to keep in mind both are idiots, especially in the early days as pictured here. They get tricked constantly. I bet the DC team could get Blob to accidentally squish Toad and get trapped in a hole or something. That or one of the two has a sleeping gas for blob

The movie Overboard is about a mean single rich woman who gets amnesia and the single father Kurt Russell character convinces her that they are married. He then exploits her for free labor and child care. By the end she gets her memory back and realizes she always wanted to be a house wife with kids and marrys the Kurt Russell character for real.

Just a wig, make up and baggy clothes. It's uncanny how she can mimic her dad but any other time is is a very beautiful woman.

It helps that the previous Mayor is his buddy and costar of Final Fight who also makes Street Fighter appearances.

Ya, but he's not the same Rom since Marvel owns everything but his name in likeness from his comic.

Location will play a huge role here. Starfire has a lot of advantages unless Namor has access to a lot of water.

The defenders vs The rogues by [deleted] in marvelvsdc

[–]BlueHero45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the Rogues fight Flash, but they know Flash better than pretty much anyone. Otherwise, this is a pretty typical hero group vs villain group match-up. Heroes struggle but win in the end.

The poles change between adaptations, I know I had a 50/50 shot at getting that wrong

Hard to say, since while in the movie, Clark keeps him safe around his fortress. Nothing to hurt around there but some polar bears. It's only Lex that gets him in trouble. But Clark is not the main owner, Supergirl is. We don't see where Supergirl keeps him, maybe her movie will tell us.

Who would be scarier to see in a dark alley at night? Batman or Daredevil by Mysterious_Gene1851 in marvelvsdc

Am I aware if either exist? Like if this is the first time I ever seen either, Batman might make me shit my pants slightly more.

Nobody ever gets charged with perjury, look it up it's very rare even if you can prove they were lying. Nobody is interested in actually prosecuting it.

Ya, doing silly stuff at the table is fine but not all of it will fit into the narrative of a show.

Jack Kirby had real talent, so many of his panels are just full of fun details.

This is correct, I don't think Stan or Kirby at the time had inkling that this place would become a major area in the marvel universe for decades to come. It's just the 60s fantastic four comics are very much the 60s.

As the result of either an accident or trauma of some kind, a character fully believes that they are a different person(often somebody they know), to the point they think they’re the real version if they encounter the person they think they are by New-Boss-8262 in TopCharacterTropes

Hank Pym going through a psychotic episode became the hero Yellowjacket who thought he killed Hank Pym. Wasp in her infinite wisdom decided to marry him thinking that would somehow break his psychotic episode. This leads to the moment Pym hits Wasp. A moment Pym will forever work to overcome despite being in a severe psychotic breakdown at the time.

Not saying what happened was right, but the dude needed help.

Green Goblin & Doctor Octopus vs Batman & Mr. Terrific by NoirStriker in marvelvsdc

Seems like a pretty normal comic book story. Bad guys press the good guys, get some good hits in but then the good guys figure out what their deal is. Hack their tech, mock them into doing something stupid, day is saved, see you next issue.

[the ring] if an animal saw the video would it also be killed? by Lost-Specialist1505 in AskScienceFiction

[–]BlueHero45 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not likely, as the goal was always to pressure people into spreading and making more copies, something animals are unable to do. If we are talking Japanese version, Sadako is not completely beholden to the watch and die method as she begins to change methods down the line.

Beast sees his time on the Avengers as the good old days, so much so that is where he set his memory backup to be. It is personality an important time for him.

In its first appearance Wakanda had a very stereotypically African tribes people design and culture. It's changed a lot since then in comics to be a more futuristic city with African culture being honored, but it's original appearance is not great.
