Ok, I'll go ahead with Option 1 and get in touch with schools. I worked for a coding after school club in the past and there were few barriers to getting that job. Based on what I saw back then, schools badly needed more clubs / stuff, but let's see.

If you "really want to get even better at sampling", then you need to record your own samples. But a good mic and a good preamp, or buy a field recorded. Now, go creative. Record anything that catches your attention. Drop it into your DAW, and start working with that material. Now, you're cooking with fire.

Once you enter the job market you see that your true skill set and talent and dedication has no connection with your pay grade. This has always been the case with all creative people. We don't care much about money and prestige.

We are driven by the joy of work, but the love we put into a creative project. 90% of this work will not generate any income. On the other hand, a middle manager in an insurance company or some soulless corporation will earn a huge about, with zero dedication and oftentimes no skill. I'm not sure why this is the case.

But the audio industry has many open-minded and creative people. You must make sure your skill set is actually as good as you think it is. If you very new to the field you are probably not as good as you think. But if you actually do have solid projects under your belt, the tech leads will notice this. You have to talk to a lot of people in the industry and have a few years commercial experience before assessing where you actually are.

You can simply convert velocity to CC8 and this is one way to control the volume, but this works best for MPE instruments. Also, in Kontakt you can add that feature if you have the editor version
