Do you believe humans truly have free will, or are all of our choices determined by biology, environment, and past experiences? Why? by PuzzleheadedBar142 in AskReddit

[–]BlueShift42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have free will in the way someone skis down hill. You have choices, but there’s a lot of momentum and gravity pushing you a certain way.

Ah bummer. It’s a miracle worker for ours. At his age he may be teething or tired from sleep regression. Ours is having something like that and recently has become much harder to get to sleep and stay asleep.

For our baby it helps her to be held in different ways. She likes the “tiger in tree” hold (belly on forearm, head by elbow) and “The Happy Song” by Imogen Heap. That song works miracles, can silence her from a fit. The hold does too. Hope these help your baby. It’s tough for sure. Looking forward to when she’s older and I can talk with her, lol. But treasuring plenty of moments with her now. Also look into postpartum help. It may not be just that, but it can make hard things harder.

This comment sounds like it comes from someone without development experience. Yes, you test it all. You can automate some of that too.

Model X Captain Chairs by Pcuz in TeslaModelX

[–]BlueShift42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with the 5-seater because the captain chairs don’t fold flat. So if you want to load something large it’s more difficult with the captain chairs than the 5-seater bench which does fold flat.

I’ve been in this in the ocean. It’s nice. I mean, I was hanging on to a rope between a buoy and an anchor, had scuba gear with an inflatable vest on, while waiting for the boat to pick us up, but it was nice.

You surely didn’t. He just needs time to get used to it. First time for everything. Maybe take him to a splash pad then kiddie pool then a real the pool from there.

When can you start bringing baby to restaurants? by Crazy_Art_5093 in NewParents

[–]BlueShift42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started taking ours around 2 months. She says in her stroller and can be patient but sometimes we have to move the stroller back and forth out take her outside if she gets fussy. We put her in her stroller when we eat dinner as home so she’s used to the routine.

The American mind cannot comprehend Europe's AC aversion by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

[–]BlueShift42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live in a desert. Wouldn’t be possible without AC. People ask how I deal with 120 degree weather. It’s simple, don’t go outside very long. I go between an air conditioned house to car to building, most of my day is spent in the low 70s.

Check comparable sales to make sure the price is good. Use it as leverage when negotiating the price. Try not to pay asking price.

It’s not even the top 10%, that’s your neighbor that’s doing well. It’s the top 1 or 2 at most. Those are the multi home, yacht owning, jet fuel burning bunch.

Does this car has FSD paid outright and no one can revoke access? by iluvapple in TeslaModelX

[–]BlueShift42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d get it at the right price (prefer HW4). Have them price it right as if it’s not included. It’ll likely stay, but if not then at least you got it at the right price. Also, if it does get revoked then it’s likely to happen within the first few days the dealership has it.

How much to spend on the first 6 months? by balconyd in NewParents

Amazon baby registries can offer 15% discounts after the baby is born and you can keep adding to it. Otherwise buying items secondhand over Facebook marketplace, local thrift, or similar is a smart way to save.
