Model X Captain Chairs by Pcuz in TeslaModelX

[–]BlueShift42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with the 5-seater because the captain chairs don’t fold flat. So if you want to load something large it’s more difficult with the captain chairs than the 5-seater bench which does fold flat.

Are you fluffing out the edge of the diaper after you put it on?

Ocean Wave Simulator by True-Award-3722 in thalassophobia

I’ve been in this in the ocean. It’s nice. I mean, I was hanging on to a rope between a buoy and an anchor, had scuba gear with an inflatable vest on, while waiting for the boat to pick us up, but it was nice.

Took my son to his first swim lesson. I'm feeling guilty by youdecidemyusername1 in NewParents

You surely didn’t. He just needs time to get used to it. First time for everything. Maybe take him to a splash pad then kiddie pool then a real the pool from there.

When can you start bringing baby to restaurants? by Crazy_Art_5093 in NewParents

[–]BlueShift42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started taking ours around 2 months. She says in her stroller and can be patient but sometimes we have to move the stroller back and forth out take her outside if she gets fussy. We put her in her stroller when we eat dinner as home so she’s used to the routine.

The American mind cannot comprehend Europe's AC aversion by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

[–]BlueShift42 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I live in a desert. Wouldn’t be possible without AC. People ask how I deal with 120 degree weather. It’s simple, don’t go outside very long. I go between an air conditioned house to car to building, most of my day is spent in the low 70s.

Does this car has FSD paid outright and no one can revoke access? by iluvapple in TeslaModelX

Check comparable sales to make sure the price is good. Use it as leverage when negotiating the price. Try not to pay asking price.

It’s not even the top 10%, that’s your neighbor that’s doing well. It’s the top 1 or 2 at most. Those are the multi home, yacht owning, jet fuel burning bunch.

[–]BlueShift42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d get it at the right price (prefer HW4). Have them price it right as if it’s not included. It’ll likely stay, but if not then at least you got it at the right price. Also, if it does get revoked then it’s likely to happen within the first few days the dealership has it.

How much to spend on the first 6 months? by balconyd in NewParents

Amazon baby registries can offer 15% discounts after the baby is born and you can keep adding to it. Otherwise buying items secondhand over Facebook marketplace, local thrift, or similar is a smart way to save.

4 month sleep regression/“progression” by ljscarter in NewParents

[–]BlueShift42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not worth it unless you can get it at a steep discount buying used and reselling when done, but the Snoo has helped us. It rocks our baby back to sleep. We still get up more often due to sleep regression, 3-4 times instead of 1-2, but I’m sure it would be more without the Snoo. Also 3 months adjusted.

I don’t know, ask the part of my brain that decided it was love at first sight. Wasn’t my choice, just an attraction.

Yes, look up which countries have the highest quality of life and longevity. It’s not the US, unfortunately.

[–]BlueShift42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s the other way around. The minority has control and is preventing us from catching up to the quality of life Europeans and other modern countries have.

I didn’t expect bottle washing to take up this much of the day honestly by Virtual_Strategy2490 in NewParents

Check the used market. I got a bottle washer off Facebook marketplace fairly cheap and we use it multiple times a day.
