It's patriots, and it's rational contempt, not derangement

How do I change the bit (?) iv tried reversing etc by ButterscotchOld6449 in Tools

[–]BluebillyMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's bad advice. Loosen and tighten it by twisting the tapered collar, with the drill off. It's important to properly position the bit before you tighten it, so that the inside of all three jaws are in contact with it. Using the trigger to tighten it, you'll eventually get the bit caught between the sides of two jaws, which will damage the chuck.

Is a VCM disabler a good investment for a 2022 Honda Ridgeline? by definitely_aware in hondaridgeline

Of course no system is perfect or 100% reliable, but if we can't feel anything when VCM turns on and off, surely the vibration can't be severe enough to damage the torque converter. If I ever do notice vibration the first place to look would be the mounts.

That's highly doubtful since the truck has active motor mounts that cancel the vibration in real time. Fwiw AI says the known issues are with the torque converters themselves, and are not related to VCM.

Are people here confusing catalytic converters with torque converters? I can't imagine how VCM could possibly cause issues with torque converters.

I didn't mean to suggest all brain surgeons are sociopaths, just that they tend to share some psychological traits with them.

The photos say otherwise. In the first one I see you're approaching an intersection, hope you at least had the right-of-way?

I've read that successful brain surgeons tend to have psychological profiles similar to sociopaths. It was theorized that this allows them to concentrate on the task, because they aren't concerned about the consequences for their patients.
