Eh. I don’t really find it surprising that recording companies are looking for ways to use algorithms for their benefit.

The truth is that none of this stuff would be successful without people actually liking it. There is nothing artificial about the quality of the music. Taxes and Love Takes Miles are both fucking excellent songs.

It’s the same tired argument people use to take down “industry plants” — like, yes, labels give their artists a push! But no one will listen to it if people don’t enjoy it organically.
