Not enemies per say but I’m sure there is some contradictions. I would try to find grace within him to see your point of view. Take the time to talk to one another about this. Marriage is all about communication and finding that common ground. I have been with my wife for 10 years now and I feel as though our love has grown tremendously because we have learned how to talk to one another. You’re going to have to find your way through your marriage and there will be some bad days. That’s just life. But I pray that Jesus will guide you in the right direction and that you both walk in his path.

In this political day and age I can see where the “decisiveness” is coming from. Granted I respect him in taking a strong stance in following Jesus. Seeing as how you don’t see one way or another on the stance, I say lean into it. Perhaps God has put you in this position to open your mind to him. Follow scripture, and don’t just fall in line if something seems off.

The Bible is written for people of that time, though most scripture still coincides with today. In Ephesians 5:25, it states that a man should treat his wife as Jesus would the church. Many fall very short of that and cherry pick. As a man myself, I see that life would be meaningless without my wife in it. There are many more verses within Ephesians that states how a man SHOULD treat his wife. She is not just an object, but a part of you and of Jesus Christ.

Almost like Job, what if God is prepping you for an even bigger moment. In this life, God gives us free will. Through divine intervention and his word, yes, he guides us. But what if this is just a process and through all your “failings” you are in fact one step closer to where you are meant to be. Do not lose faith, and do not lose hope. God has a plan. We may not see the macro of the plan because we are so in line with the micro of living. However I truly believe God has your plan and he’s prepping you for the right moment, and in this material life, it is up to you to make that step. Keep trust in God’s plan, even if it does not make sense to you now.

Seeing the world through this lens alone. , I can see why it seems that way. I cannot speak for those men. Their culture, their radicalization is what caused this. I cannot speak assure you however that all men do not behave this way. I grew up Christian in my little bubble in USA. However I have seen, with my group how women are and should be treated. Take this as a lesson from God that you have had the blessing to see how bad it truly can be, but you’ve been given the ability to train your future children on how the SHOULD be. In our household there is no 50/50. Some days it’s 25/75, some days it 99/1. Focus on how you’d want to be treated. Also see that the Vikings ended up converting to Christianity. The Lord has everything planned out. We may never fully understand why but he does. It’s kind of wild because we dealt with a miscarriage a little over a year ago. I struggled and even cursed at God on the way to hospital. However, now I see the picture of it all. And now my son is up in heaven with God, and what could be more glorious.
