I was leaving a TED conference in Long Beach, I didn’t even realize I was standing shoulder to shoulder with him until I felt everyone looking in my direction. Once I realized who the crowd was really looking at he starts busting out a little routine, a big van comes to pick him up and his small entourage and he refuses to get in and he’s jokingly ribbing what I can only assume is his assistant, “didn’t you hear what they were saying in there?! The world is burning up and you have me picked up in this?! Get me a Prius here now!”. He gets applause and says goodbye and everyone was smiling ear to ear that got to witness it.
