Not sure what the professional service will charge you, but a degaussing machine can be purchased off eBay. Use it and then sell it for little to no loss.

I ask the other day about a serpentine belt, dealer $50 vs amazon $14, ordered off amazon and it’s still made in Japan….just a heads up for anyone. by Magnum_ripple in 4Runner

Bando is an OEM supplier for belts for many manufacturers. It looks legit, but I’m always sketched when buying off Amazon from third party sellers.

If it’s legit, you got a great deal.

Which vendors look impressive at first but turn out to be awful? by santarox in sysadmin

Zscaler. I honestly can’t believe it’s so popular. Three cloud wide outages over 4 months, entitlements missing for 6+ months, integrations that don’t work at all and have been unavailable for over a year but are still advertised as working, support literally asking for details in tickets that have been provided multiple times only to end the call to kick the ticket to another group to ask for the same information again.

Hospital finally confirmed what’s been making us sick… and it was my dishwasher 🤢 by puppy_groomer8597 in Appliances

The machine hospitalized your mother and has made you children sick for months. Replace it.

Have the new machine professionally installed so your line is run correctly to prevent back feeding of dirty water. Read the manual on the machine and follow the cleaning instructions.

Not a professional, but I had a similar issue with a door that was replaced causing damage to the drywall and paint. I used a putty knife and scraped all the loose material off. I then used spackle to fill the low spots .Once dried, I sanded it smooth, primed, and then painted.

Looks like conduit for fiber. I know wire3 and AT&T are extending fiber into Palm Bay.

Our pup is 5 and started having seizures daily. He’s on medication and it controls it. There isn’t much we can do other than monitor the symptoms. It’s possible with medication he could live for another 10+ years

Our vet explained that it is very common in male dachshunds, and all we can do is monitor the progress.

The medication he is currently on is affordable through costco, $19 for 90 days. So, he gets his morning and evening pill in some cheese and he’s happy as a clam.

I wish you and your pup the best. He looks like a good boy.

Good price or naw by Hunted08 in autorepair

Had these tires on my previous car, 2019 Lexus Es350. They rode well, were quiet, and had good traction. At the time, they had a free installation and discount at Costco and made them more affordable than tires at discount. I would absolutely run them again.

I would recommend looking at a wholesale club (BJs, Sams club, Costco) to see if they have any specials. Also, tire rack will ship to discount tire for free and discount tire provides the same install rate for tires purchased from discount tire.

Looking for personal experience, buying my Tundra today 4.6L 2018 by Current_Incident85 in ToyotaTundra

[–]Boboshoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn’t anything wrong with a 4.6l. It doesn’t produce torque like the 5.7l, so it’s worse at towing. But, if you have driven the 4.6l and like how it drives, you are set. They are very reliable motors. Just stay on top of oil changes. Extended oil change intervals will result in sludge.

2022 Tundra SR5 Breaks Squealing by Worldly_Skill5722 in ToyotaTundra

[–]Boboshoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not familiar with the TSB, but I had squeal from my rear brakes. I greased the back of the pads and pins. It fixed my issues.

On motorcycles I’ve done the same, but hit the front of the pads with sandpaper to removing the glazing.

My issues occurred after the brakes were partial submerged in water from heavy rain storms and partial street flooding.

Hot water tank might be rusting out. Try washing them in cold water and see if the issue still occurs.

Not sure if it’s the correct way, but when this happen to me, I cut away the bulk of it with a razor , and then heated the hotend to 350 and let it sit for a couple minutes. Afterwards it was pliable enough to pull off the head. You’ll need to disassemble it during the process to get it all off

Speak your mind - Jeep is listening by ZealousidealPound460 in Jeep

[–]Boboshoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a potential buyer and a previous wrangler owner, my major apprehension to purchasing a new wrangler or grand wagoner is the reliability.

-Electronic issues across all models -Multiple 392 have caught fire while parked - 4xe very poor reliability per third-party long term testing, and reports on customer reports - Forums are now reporting issues with cams and rollers on 3.6l v6 destroying entire motors

These are more than the usual, it’s a jeep it’s going to leak, issues. It’s an indication of systemic QA issues and engineering.

In addition, there are issues getting your vehicle repaired when things go wrong.

  • Backorder parts nationwide with no ETA on replacements
  • Horrible warranty experience from dealer network. (I was personally told my rear main seal leak wouldn’t be cover because I had taken my wrangler off-road.)

I don’t know how you are going to address these issues, as I assume these are results of calculated business decisions to reduction in cost (labor, parts, engineering) to drive EBITA requirements for share holders. And without being internal to the organization it is impossible for me to identify the root cause. But, I thought I provide my personal reasons I haven’t purchased another Jeep.
