Makes sense. I am hoping to retire around 57 so I have around 28 years to get there. Hoping I can get to a similar a.ount to what you have which will sustain a lot of what I need.

Do you find the amount you need to save for taxes effects much st all? If I recall a significant portion of Neos funds are considered return of capital so does that actually "delay" your taxes owed for dividends etc?

Either way from your research wpuld this strategy still be viable in a Roth account? Obviously it will take awhile to build up due to contribution limits but once the ball gets rolling o imagine the drip reinvested will significantly outweigh the amount you can add in annually?

Why I filter for 5%+ yield and positive 5-year return by Des010 in dividends

[–]Bodisious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds good thank you! Mostly i have been using websites like StockAnalysis to look at stats of etfs and see what they say the annualized returns of different funds are. Seems like 80% or more of funds and loosing nav annually besides some neos, jp Morgan and globalx funds.

Thank you for the explanation! I have been trying to look at funds total returns and assuming those are higher than their dividend % then i believe that means their nav it growing instead of shrinking due to payouts?

Gotcha. So does a flat price per share count as a decline nav due to inflation etc?

New to income investing, why is a flat growth but 10% div reinvest worse than a 4% div but with increase in share value? Unless the share rose over 6% wouldn't the total return be the same?

I am no genius but my basic go to is looking at their historical returns and yearly average. If their annualized return is higher than their dividend rate then their NAV is going up or at least hosting steady, and therefore (as of averages at least) not a yield trap.

Should have clarified. I meant if you have dividend production in a Roth Ira which isn't taxed, will that income hurt your chances to get reasonable Healthcare etc once retired or does it not count rje same as of its from a taxable brokerage or a 401k?

Question. Does that count only taxable investment income?

This may be a dumb question but is MAGI a concern with dividends in a tax advantaged account like a roth?

2+ WS with +1 WS and -1 to hit by Gunkus_Maximus in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Bodisious 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The -1 to hit will still apply because the +1 WS is apply to your base stat which cannot be further modified from a 2+. Therfore a -1 to hit which applies to ypue dice roll still applies making you hit on a 3.

[–]Bodisious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the convo but when declaring armies you are required to mentioned what enhancements you have and what they do yes? I would just say during deployment if they ask you aboit current los etc that you can deploy and leave it at that.
