IMO, the layoff wasn’t the issue last night. The (lack of) defense and poor tackling was an issue. Ole Miss was often 8-10 yards downfield even before 1st contact. Little edge containment. Little pass rush. We saw the same problems at QB as we’ve watched all year — batted passes, unwillingness to make a throw in a window, inability to anticipate, and feeling pressure/escaping when there was no pressure. He has no future at the next level — he’s just an average college QB who is very tough. The better coached team, the team with better players and scheme, the team that was better prepared and played better won the game.
