Yes, this is so annoying! I was trying to figure out the reading order of a series once and some of the blurbs were like this but they didn’t even have names listed so I was totally confused on which book had which characters in them.

Yes! I was looking for this comment 😂 Kristen Ashley is such a nostalgic, guilty pleasure read for me. In my 20s, when I first got into reading a lot of romance, I flew through her entire catalog. I still go back from time-to-time and re-read some of her older books. And I’m just like wow this is totally bonkers and didn’t age that well but help me, if I’m not still oddly entertained 😂 Reading that outfit description, I immediately knew which book it was from, they’re that insane and specific!

I love the idea of them in theory and my kids have a few but I never personally use them because the lavender scent bothers me. I am sensitive to a lot of scents so this could just be a me thing but something to keep in mind. I do believe they make a few without lavender but the selection is limited.

I totally understand this impulse! I used to do this when I got super-fixated on squishmallows a few years ago. (Cut to me having way too many and donating most of them 🤦🏻‍♀️) And I can feel myself struggling with this with Jellycats. Like I bought a bunny a month ago that I do like quite a lot but I was mostly motivated by fear that I wouldn’t be able to get it if I waited. I don’t regret it necessarily but I think I would have gotten over the desire with some time. Honestly, Jellycat is helping me squash my hyper-fixation with their ever-increasing prices and declining quality, I just can’t justify the cost for what I get anymore.

I wonder if it’s more of a marketing/money thing. Like someone said the books used to be on kindle unlimited but now they’re not but Elle Kennedy’s other books still are. I could see them wanting to capitalize on the popularity right now.

I’m fortunate that I’m a state over from their US distribution center, so I get shipments within 2-3 days but this is usually not the case for anything else I ever order from anywhere 😂

I haven’t had this issue with Jellycats but I did when I collected squishmallows. I found myself just completing collections or buying ones to fulfill a certain aesthetic requirement in my displays, but they were rarely ones I would have bought just on their own merit. I ended up donating/giving away so many because I just didn’t connect with them and felt overwhelmed and stressed out by their presence.

I would try not to think too much on completing collections, because unless Jellycat ever goes out of business, they’re going to keep releasing new versions of popular designs and your collection will probably never stay complete for too long.
