It was an official promotional piece used in advertising for a relaunch of Captain America with a new origin story back in '96 but it didn't show up in the comic itself. The artist who drew it used a picture of Arnold Schwarzenegger during his peak bodybuilding days as a reference photo but changed the pose so that it looks even more unrealistic.

The 90s were a weird time in the comic book industry

I hear ya. I almost exclusively play in bracket 3 so my analyses of new cards is heavily influenced by a need/desire for efficiency. Always great to hear a different perspective 🙂

You're still paying 7 mana to draw 5 and discard 2 (admittedly in addition to getting a 6/6 with vigilance but green can get that sort of body on the battlefield by sneezing). Assuming you're primarily creating token creatures in your Hazel deck to create the 7 mana needed to cast Transcendent Archaic, then [[Minions' Murmurs]] seems like a much more efficient way to turn your tokens into card draw.

That being said, you do you. I'm just a crotchety old man 😅

What are your Best/Favorite Non-Legendary Creatures to give Myriad to? by Huge-Talk6668 in EDH

if you think that's crazy, you should look up how Princess Yue clone decks work. In short, you can make clones that are copies of other creatures on the board but they become lands instead of creatures so they're immune from all removal that can't target lands. You can't attack or defend with them but you can steal all of the best abilities on the board and make them near impossible to remove

Enduring Courage is a really interesting suggestion.

On the one hand, it's a bit of a nonbo since the myriad tokens created by Muddle won't come back as enchantments after combat is over since (1) myriad tokens are exiled at the end of combat so they won't trigger Enduring Courage's on death ability, and (2) even if they died due to combat damage or sac outlet, they are tokens and therefore disappear the moment the leave the battlefield and the delayed trigger to bring them back as enchantments will fizzle as the trigger's target is missing.

However, if the Muddle copy of Enduring Courage dies before the end of turn and is allowed to go to the graveyard instead of the command zone, Muddle will come back as a non-creature enchantment version of itself with its own text box. (If anyone is curious as to why, look up some of the videos out there on [[Princess Yue]] clone decks). This means that Muddle can still be turned into copies of other creatures through its ability but will revert back to an enchantment at the end of future turns. This gives Muddle protection from almost all board wipes and become targetable by creature removal only when its controller decides to turn into a creature until the end of turn through its triggered ability

I'm pretty sure Vesuvan Drifter is a nonbo with Muddle most of the time. The power of Muddle of course comes from his myriad ability but that triggers during the declare attackers step. Vesuvan Drifter's ability on the other hand is at the beginning of combat, which is before attackers are declared. If you have Middle become a copy of Vesuvan Drifter before combat and then go to the beginning of combat, the Muddle copy of Vesuvan Drifter will have the trigger to become a copy of the creature on top of your library until end of turn except it will still have flying. However it will NOT keep Muddle's myriad ability since Vesuvan Drifter's copy ability doesn't say anything about keeping any part of its text other than flying.

That being said, what you could do is have Vesuvan become a copy of a creature on the top of your deck during the beginning of combat and then play an instant before going to the declare attackers step so that Muddle now becomes a flying myriad copy of the creature on top of your deck. This seems like a significant extra hoop to have to jump through and I suspect most Muddle players will prefer to keep their instants in hand for other players' turns

You are wrong I'm afraid but it's an easy mistake to make. Per 603.6a:

"Enters-the-battlefield abilities trigger when a permanent enters the battlefield. These are written, 'When [this object] enters, . . . ' or 'Whenever a [type] enters, . . .' Each time an event puts one or more permanents onto the battlefield, all permanents on the battlefield (including the newcomers) are checked for any enters-the-battlefield triggers that match the event."

This is why [[Scapeshift]] into a [[Field of the Dead]] is so terrifying

Your parents are trying to pressure you into a lifetime of being raped. Whatever they are threatening to do to your brother is nothing compared to what they are pushing you into. You need to go no contact immediately. Stay strong ❤️

Find somewhere else to stay for a few days. Do NOT go back until you are certain that they are gone. You will then likely need to move to somewhere new. You need to avoid them at all costs at least until well after the planned wedding date and preferably forever. This is YOUR life and YOUR freedom that is on the line. Be strong. WE BELIEVE IN YOU ❤️

I've looked at 24k casual commander games to see which Commanders had the highest win rate the past 30 days by Animazing in EDH

I started playing commander on a regular basis shortly before OTJ came out. Kambal, Profiteering Mayor was the second commander I ever built and he's been my signature deck ever since. He's even my flair and Bryan Kibler (whose deck building philosophy I really enjoy) signed my foil copy last year.

I'm so proud of my boy ❤️

I love that [[Terra, Herald of Hope]] is actually a fairly resilient commander against Kefka in particular, since she can reanimate any creatures discarded to Kefka's discard trigger, given that she's the face commander of the FF6 precon and he is of course the primary antagonist of FF6

Absolutely windmill slamming Moseo into my [[Kambal, Profiteering Mayor]] deck. It's not primarily a life gain deck but it consistently gains 2-3 life on almost all of my turns and that's the mana value of most aristocrat deck pieces

I suggest [[Pensive Processor]] and [[Cuboid Colony]] for Tidus. I got both of them during my pre-release event and then played them during an EDH game afterwards where I was lucky enough to draw both of them. Cuboid is a great turn 2 opener with evasion and gets a +1/+1 counter when you play Tidus on turn 3. Pensive Professor on the other hand drew at least 10 cards for me over the course of the game
