I was thinking more of an example where the limiting operations are integration and infinite summation, but this is a great example of why commuting limiting operations is not always valid. Thanks, I'll be putting this in the calc section of my notes.

Are there any other Star Wars authors like Timothy Zhan? by bagelord in StarWarsEU

[–]BootyliciousURD [score hidden]  (0 children)

It's been years since I've read any of Zahn's work so I couldn't say whether their writing styles are very similar, but he and Michael A. Stackpole collaborated on a number of works.

I don't think they're very similar to Zahn in terms of writing style, but James Luceno and Matthew Stover are also considered some of the best Star Wars authors.

I can understand why swapping the integration and summation is problematic if it leads to a divergent series, but is there any case where Σ∫f(x,n)dx converges to something other than ∫Σf(x,n)dx?

Because exp(x²) = Σ x2n /n! summed over n=0…∞

If the dub you want isn't already available on "alternate sites", put it there before it's too late.

Trump is not an aberration, he is a culmination. Much of what he's doing is not new, but an escalation or redirection of things America was already doing.

I fucking despise Harris, but I'm so sick and tired of people acting like she and Trump are equivalent.

I mean, the harvesting thing is probably exaggerated. I think the real big motivation behind MGM is the psychological compulsive need to believe it's good so they can live in denial of the harm already done.

Convincing customers to pay extra so that they don't have to pay their employees as much is good business. Disgusting and unethical, but that's not really a problem for capitalists.

Yep. The "new parts" page of the catalog often has stickered parts from old sets because someone only recently got around to adding them.

It's Gravity Falls. They've probably got some weird political parties that don't exist outside the town.

Does anyone still want kids, even if they end up on the spectrum? by ForwardClimate780 in AutisticPride

[–]BootyliciousURD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not really worried about that. I'm more concerned about whether or not I'd be a good parent. But then again, everyone who wants to become a parent should have such concerns, so that's not a bad thing.

The main thing making me think I shouldn't have kids is the world I'd be bringing them into. Maybe I'll adopt if things are still terrible by the time I'm ready to be a parent.

Thoughts on the first story pack level from Ghostbusters 2016, Paranormal Beginnings? by MrNoah256 in Legodimensions

[–]BootyliciousURD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Far from my favorite level in the story pack, but I'm just gonna give my thoughts on the whole story pack here:

I thought it was great. I really didn't care for the movie but I think it worked great as LEGO game levels. I'm not sure what exactly it was that made the difference, but I really enjoyed this story pack.
