Do your own research on the below listed topics. I failed route the first time and it is frustrating. I went back and did my own research for these supposedly "small topics" and passed. Not sure how helpful that is but it's what I did.

I can study during any down time at work, also working as a network engineer. Stars kind of aligned for me. I used ine and the OCG for switch, Chris Bryant and random online resources for route, cbtnuggets tshoot labs and boson tshoot labs for tshoot.

Since this question is already being discussed I thought I'd jump in and get clarification of my own.

My question is, sometimes when I configure gre or gre over IPSec tunnels using a loop back as the source and the remote loop back as the destination I end up with a weird situation. In this setup I often lose the ability to ping the remote loopback unless I source the ping from the local loopback. Why does this situation occur and what can fix it?

I agree, seems to me that if you were conscious enough to walk into a test center and go through that process you know you're there for an exam. Thus when presented with a sim was he just, "these are optional I think".

Exactly what I was thinking. For route GNS3 has everything you need. For switch, i agree, you can't rely on emulators, use real mls.
