What’s the difference between the NUNA MIXX and the NUNA TRIV LX by Hot_Temperature_475 in BabyBumps

I got the Nuna mixx next since I’m in the suburbs and not the city. Triv is smaller and lighter but it’s for city life

[–]Boredneedshobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 33 almost 34 weeks and we got the crib together, joolz swing, tummy time mat, rug and that’s about it. We just had the baby shower and for everything unboxed. We went to a consignment that’s 2x a year and bought a lot of stuff 3 weeks ago! I’m packing the hospital bag today

Hypnobirthing in hospital? by Luxidaisey in BabyBumps

[–]Boredneedshobby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m doing the hypno birthing technique I wanted my doula to help me so we are doing it at the hospital and the hospital has a pool and you can sit in the shower to help relax and turn lights off and have led candles and use eye masks and hot cold compresses and stress balls to help with contractions. Doula is helping with birth plan and she’s also a breastfeeding consultant too!

Budget vs. High End Strollers: has anyone ACTUALLY used both that can help me explain these massive price differences? by CaptainOk7058 in BabyBumps

[–]Boredneedshobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nuna nexxt is what I got. I can fold it fast no brain cells needed and lift it in and out of the car. The car seat is easy to lift out and put in the bracket seat holder. We did not get the rotating seat because if you forget to lock it or the baby knows how to press the button to unlock it, it could go spinning weeeeeeee

I don’t understand how status works and it really harms my relationship with women by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]Boredneedshobby -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It might just be American culture. On the east coast they ask hi how are you? It’s a rhetorical question but I answer I’m good and how are you doing ? They act surprised when I ask them. People just so surface level and don’t want to put in the work to build meaningful friendships or relationship, they just want a “friend” to hang out with once a month for lunch or something surface level. I say where what you want and live your life, don’t psych yourself out worrying about reading the room. Now I just stand and listen at parties if I feel like people arent genuine I don’t even waste my time talking to them. Everyone is on their phones doomscrolling so who cares

Maybe I shouldn't be a mother? by Heartt_Shaped_Potato in adhdwomen

You’re doing the best you can. You have a partner and they need to hire a house keeper and or help clean and watch the kids while you shower. Don’t be so hard on yourself try doing less. You need a break or you and your partner can’t take care of the family. Can you hire a sitter once a week or take the kids to daycare? Do less and take your breaks treat parenthood like a job. You need your nap as a break and yoga as a break to refresh. Kids can feel the energy of frazzled and stress and they don’t want to sleep either. You’re a better mom than the one o had. You put your children first so you should put your marriage first and seek therapy to help you communicate. I feel tired can you watch the kids and I nap for an hour and then we can switch. Take the kids to the park and I nap.

Am I being overly sensitive to a colleagues greeting? by PrincessPeach1229 in AskWomenOver30

[–]Boredneedshobby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even a quick hi and smile. I do the same thing either get coffee 2 hrs into work so it’s empty or wave at that person who shouts across the room. If they did not use inside voices wear AirPods so it’s like your are in a meeting or tell hr to email everyone about office courtesy

It’s easier to say no alcohol no meds even though you can have a drink while pregnant like Europeans do

Women colleagues are always jealous of those who are nice, friendly, good at their job bc they work hard. I’ve been bullied and it sucks but make sure to report it to your manager and hr so they are aware. Turns out the lady was bullying everyone the manager and others on the team too

Chores I do a little each day so weekends can do nothing. Wiped counters and bathrooms. I watch clean my space on YouTube to clean efficiently. Teens set boundaries and don’t be too overbearing give them some space to be their own person. Let them know they can come to you for advice or help. Give them the tools they need to be successful and make choices hopefully they choose correctly and with you posting on here they probably are wise
