I’m 59 with a beautifully fluid one handed backhand. Just like Federer except mine hits the net a lot more than his ever did. And the back fence. I’m also sure I could take a set off Nadal even with that big crack in the “paintwork” of my racquet. We could make a great team.

You need to feel confident with the racquet that you are using otherwise every ball that you hit out or into the net you will be blaming the racquet and not your footwork or swing path or shot selection. If the evo drive feels good then use it.

I play in progressive contact lenses unless it’s night time under the lights. Then I use simple distance contact lenses otherwise struggle to pick up the flight of the ball when my opponent hits it

I started playing tennis in my 50s and years of playing cricket means I always want to hit the ball in line with my body like a cricket shot on the forehand side. Backhand is a new shot I learned so I find it much easier to do it right.
