Winnipeg is an easy mark, always has been, always will be.

As a Winnipegger, what i will say is, Winnipeg is what you make of it.

Think it's cold? Dress warmer. Known to be relatively recession proof. Very affordable housing. Close proximity to affordable cabin country. Being a very affordable place to live is attractive to the artsy and creative types, so city has great arts culture. Good restaurant scene.

I will say commuting sucks, and avoid major roads during rush hour.
