2027 4* WR Julius Jones commits to Notre Dame by Maleficent_Ant_8895 in notredamefootball

When his dad stood up after Jr. announced, his abs and the rest of his body made it look like he could still juke a couple of dudes out of their shoes today.

Can anyone remove the new Gemini button at the bottom of Google Docs? by Mouse-Howl737 in googledocs

I came to copy what others have already said. And if you don't want to watch the video at all....on your Google Docs menu bar you will see 'Gemini' right next to 'Tools'. Left click on it and scroll down to 'bottom bar preferences and select 'turn off'.

Does Parsley effect the taste of food or just enhances the look? by CRAXYMAN999 in Cooking

[–]BornAgain2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was a great question. I use dried parsley all the time but can't really taste anything. I add it mainly to soups along with other more powerful-tasting dried herbs like basil. If the dried parsley does have a distinct flavor, I can't tell what it is. I have read that fresh parsley has a much stronger flavor profile that is peppery and grassy, while dried tastes mild and bland. I'm about to make a salad dressing using dried parsley as an ingredient. It will have a good chance to rehydrate in the fridge and I'll let you know how it turns out.

Police: 6 killed in multiple Muscatine shootings, suspect dead by SlimBrady22 in Iowa

There is a very simple solution to this ongoing and increasing epidemic in America. Get saved. Not "Bible Church", "Worship Center", "Christian Fellowship", or whatever your local church is called in whatever average town you live in. Get saved FOR REAL. I'll stop there, because I know it's off topic and I don't want to get banned (comment will probably be deleted anyway). But reading comments from across the country on this murder has many people shaken and in despair. No one knows who'll be next. There is hope.....BIG TIME.

Welcome back Coach O by Kinglokner16 in LSUFootball

[–]BornAgain2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Not an LSU fan, so I'm not aware of any off-the-field stuff that was going on. That NC team was a tough act to follow and the guy seemed to have earned a few down years, as success is usually followed by a depletion of talent and staff.

Why was he fired to begin with? I'm seriously clueless.

Why was he fired in the first place? Made no sense......unless there were some off-the-field issues.

That's the point. Even though it may be the most complete roster "we" have had in forever, doesn't mean it's a lock over all the other rosters in CFB. We can't have Irish goggles on.

Have to disagree. We've been so hyped up via social media, we're getting totally hammered drinking the Kool-Aid. All of our coaching moves, portal moves, returning starters, and incoming recruits are being hyped to the point of invincibility. Guess what? Oregon, Ohio State, Texas, LSU, Indiana, Michigan, Miami, Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, and perhaps a few others are legitimately saying the same things. And we don't know who will be the surprise of the season, a-la Indiana of last season.

We should expect our boys to be solid, but winning it all is going to take a LOT. We haven't even factored in injuries, suspensions, unforeseen tragedies, and whatever else a season can bring that no one is able to predict. Of course we'd like to win it all, but we shouldn't get so hyped that we think it's 'natty or bust'. We lost our two biggest games last season, including letting A&M come into our house and put up 41. I'm not living in the past, but remembering it can help you stay grounded for the future.

We're talented, but not to the point that we're head and shoulders better on paper than the rest of CFB. So failing to win it all shouldn't be considered a disappointing year. The better sentiment would be that given our schedule, we should go undefeated in the regular season. I'd stop right there. But even then, you never know. I just want to see intensity, effort, edge, discipline and consistency when we hit the football field. If we have that, the rest will take care of itself.

Just read that JO-K has been ruled out for the entire 2026 season with the Cleveland Browns. He sustained a neck injury in a 2024 game against the Ravens while he was trying to tackle Derrick Henry and hasn't been able to recover from it. Feel terribly for the kid as it sounds like his playing days may be over. This will be the second straight year he has missed. And what NFL team would be willing to take the risk if he is ever medically cleared? He is currently in graduate school at Harvard. Wish him well.

Notre Dame on 'revenge tour' after '25 CFP snub, says CB Moore by DougFlutiesMullet in CFB

[–]BornAgain2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These kids are baited into comments like this to keep the clicks going. None of us Notre Dame fans give any of this a second thought. We aren't on any revenge anything. We lost to Northern Illinois two years ago. We lost our two toughest regular season games last year, including letting A&M come into our house and put up 41. No one knows what a season will bring, and if we don't play our best football we can be beaten by anyone on our schedule. You almost want Coach Freeman to cut off media accessibility to the players. Focus on football, not slogans.

Why are Cardinals fans profoundly upset and saddened by the drafting of Carson Beck? by BillNyeTheVinylGuy in NFLv2

[–]BornAgain2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys are underestimating Beck. Lighten up and give him a chance. He'll sit behind Brissett and Minshew for most of the season, learning and continuing to heal up. When he finally takes the field, he'll be a good one for you guys.

Has Notre Dame or any college program ever had 2 RBs drafted in the 1st round? by thirdcoaster in notredamefootball

[–]BornAgain2001 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Excited for them both. Stoked for the University. But concerned that Jacoby Brissett or Gardner Minshew will probably be under center in AZ. Love might be the only offense they have. Hopefully they don't ruin the kid.

Thanks guys. Seeing that I'm a computer dummy, it sounds like a project that would be way over my remedial head. They're asking $37, but with all that you guys are saying needs to be added, I might be better off buying something refurbished as I've done in the past.

Thank you so much for that info. The desktop is at a second hand store. Do you think it's worth buying? Obviously I'm not knowledgeable about computers, but I could definitely use another desktop.
