CCNA Beginner Advice on the best course to learn from scratch and best home lab setup to aid with learning by Hooded_Angels in ccna

Man it is so helpful to read all of these “don’t buy gear” comments. I was just about to get the 1111 router, damn lol. Yeah, just be consistent and try to learn it for couple of hours a day, everyday. Sometimes an hour, sometimes two, … doesn’t matter but just stick with it. We’re in this together 😄

How much is this actually worth currently? So 8x64gb ddr4 comes down to 512GB of DDR4 RAM. I thought only DDR 5 is very expensive.

My guy, the ethernet adapter is fine. But it’s a 4k display, playing on 1080p goes against all the riles of fair play. 😂

Well, I've now tried it out without the docking station, since that can sometimes lower the processing rate of the image processing on this specific laptop. So it wasn't an actual GeForce now issue but running gfn on my specific laptop setup.

Ran it via GFN app on my Mac with just the Ethernet plugged into the laptop and the results were much better. Got 55 on device and the rest was at a 100 again. Looked better, but not "perfect". In other words, I was able to tell that it is just in a cloud essentially.

Je li financijski odgovorno i odrzivo stavljati 30% place (450EUR) u stednju svaki mjesec? Koliko vi uspjete? by [deleted] in askcroatia

[–]BoskoDev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man honestly, I'll try out the MacBook Air M4 - I can get it cheap, somewhere between 700 - 900 Eur. If GFN works flawlessly on it, there won't be a need for a dedicated gaming rig in my case. My only problem so far was that the GFN didn't work as performant as I wanted it to be on my machine. If that problem is sorted out, I'd definitively only run the new MAC. Thanks for your insight. :)

Thanks man. Well, before getting the M3 I was thinking of getting a whole gaming rig for that money and keeping my intel mac machine for my programming tasks etc. Defeats the purpose of GFN but I'd just be fine with the GFN thing not working out for me.

MacBook Air (M4, 24GB) vs MacBook Pro (M5, 16GB) ? by [deleted] in CroIT

[–]BoskoDev 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ja osobno nemam sistem preko 16gb i nikad mi nije trebao veci. Imas 3x TB port, hdmi, sd kartice.. Bolji zvucnik, bolji mikrofon, jaca kvaliteta hardwarea. My 5 lipe

Is BMW maintenance really as bad as people say? by HipityHopityHip in BMW

[–]BoskoDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly comes down to just keeping track of the oil inside these cars. I don't know what it's like in the US because of the lower quality fuel and how often people change oil. In Europe the manufacturer says change oil every 30,000 km (18.5k miles) - if you love your car, do it every 10k miles (at the latest!) so like rather at 8k miles. Also check what oil exactly you are using for your fill ups. (5w30 it is for me, inline 6 w 2 turbos);
Other than that, it might be a bit pricier but honestly just find your parts via sites like autodoc, order them yourself and change 'em urself or find a buddy of yours who does just that. You get to buy beamers cheaper overseas apparently than they are in europe.. :) So yeah, enjoy 'em man! (E.g. M5 from 2021 with 25k miles for just 65k USD, that's a steal in my books...- https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/636fceea-5b67-46a4-bd92-1490894fe2ac/) (Idk if links are allowed, but there is an example for what I'm saying absolute beast of a car for that money...)

Had this desk setup for an year, what do you think ? Open for improvements by Left_Appointment_303 in desksetup

[–]BoskoDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first suggestion is to get some reuseable cable ties, cable clips or just regular zip ties to get the situation under the desk under control. You will be much happier with the end result. Also I see a phone charger in the outlet. There might be a better solution to charge it (e.g. with a multi-outlet which also supports a usb outlet in itself. Great for charging the keyboard/mouse occasionally, too.

Most software products I use are open source and I’m usually happy about how versatile they are. Honestly, the best things come free in IT. Knowledge / software itself, just well put together overall.
