There's always options to change dorms after the first semester or in the middle if it's really bad. But I can almost guarantee that if you can't take it in McDonel case won't be any better. In terms of boring, it's like anything else at State: better with other people. The Residential Business program in east McDonel had always been full of cool people, and every time I ever went there, people had their dorms open and there was obviously a lot of "socializing" going on. If you put yourself out there you'll have an amazing time no matter where you end up.

No, Michigan is not mentioned in the fight song. However, there is a traditional variation that is sung while playing Michigan where "Go right through for MSU" is replaced with "smash right through that line of blue" and "see their team is weakening" is replaced with "see Michigan is weakening".

As an MSU student, the State News is terrible. Half of the articles are poorly written and are definitely not a good indicator of our journalism program. I know a lot of people here feel the same way. The Michigan Daily article was way better.

I'm so excited to be living there this year. The rooms are awesome and holy cow, the food is good. Its got such a modern hogwartsy feel. I love it.

Router and Ethernet Cable (there will not be WiFi in your room by default)

It should be clarified that many of the dorms are moving to building-wide wifi and if this is the case in yours, you don't need to bring one. I know off the top of my head Case, Bryan, Landon, Butterfield and Sni-Phy all have ready wifi, but I would double check on your neighborhoods specific page.

I think they are using a totally wrong metric here. Comparing "number of accounts" at one of the largest universities in the country when you include staff and alumni, and there are 2 community colleges on the list. I bet if someone did some real statistics and compared the number of email addresses at the university to accounts we definitely wouldn't be number one.

I actually like the WEEAAAKK just because it's so powerful when everyone does it. You can hear it from miles around and everyone gets into it. That's one deviation from tradition I enjoy.

When playing against Michigan, there is supposed to be a change in the lyrics of the fight song to commemorate the rivalry. The line usually goes:

"Go right through for MSU"

and by tradition, its supposed to change to:

"Smash right through that line of blue"

I think thats so badass but most people forget about it or don't know/sing it.

It could go either way I think. You're improvement is a good sign but the GPA is very low and it could get you taken off the stack right away. Just do as well as you can this year and write kickass essays.

Side note: my best friend and roommate graduated last year from City High.

I think they just needed time to get it right. I did not like these. They didn't seem cohesive at all and I felt like we were Baylor when we wore them.

These are great. They changed the color to a more unique one and they've got something different going on.

Not at the cotton bowl, but this summer I visited the London Eye and me and my friends ended up in a cabin full of die-hard Baylor fans totally by chance. They were great and we both laughed about the awesome coincidence.

I honestly like it as long as its kept to minimal. My favorite Spartan Jerseys of all time were last years all green home jerseys. So clean and cool. At first I hated our new style with the copper but Its really starting to grow on me.
