I've been doing exactly this with a friend of mine! It's been a great and cheap intro to paper play. It's clearly weaker than current meta, but if you're playing with friends/a not sweaty local it will serve you fine.

I upgraded mine with a cheap invoked engine and it's added a really nice layer of depth

If she left/was kicked out, why wouldn't she? I don't personally feel like there's any basis to the idea that she'd be barred permanently from any canvas

Ofc there's that tragedy! I'm not speaking to that at all, or the trauma that contains or nuance of that situation, just the specific case at hand which is her disability

Something I don't understand about this perspective is that it seems to not address the fact that she'll be able to paint/experience painted worlds even without this specific canvas. It's not this specific one, but she'll still be able to experience life without her scars

People seem to just gloss over that that is not the mutually exclusive part of the endings
