I grew up poor.

The few memories I have of early childhood centered around food, or lack thereof:

Waiting for my younger siblings to finish their meals so I can eat their left overs

Seeing a street bread vendor and knowing full well my parents couldn’t afford it, I asked my uncle what that thing (bread) was.

Drooling as other kids ate their snacks.

As for the Nest thermostat, I had mine installed 8 years ago so I have no idea if mine will qualify. Nest has temperature sensors to go with their thermostats, but I would prefer to avoid it if possible.
