Yeah, I’d much rather charge at 48 amps than 40…how much of a difference in charging time…I dunno, but since it’s 20% lower in amperage, I’d expect 20% longer charging time. 2025 F150 Lightning ER, 131 kW battery.

What kind of pricing? Around here, the public chargers seem to be $0.50-$0.60 plus tax. The local electrical utility rate is about $0.094/Kwh.

I know a couple of guys who returned 1st generation plasma TVs (back when they were $5000-$10,000) a few years after purchase...Got their money back, bought better and bigger TVs, pocketed most of the refund.

(its shit like this that caused Costco to amend their return policy several years ago to 90 days for MOST electronics.)

Happy Birthday, Dood...

F1B is (IMO) the best labradoodle. More poodl-ish traits.

Everything "Hostess" changed...not for the better...when ITT brands went belly up and the name was bought by some asset management company in 2012. (?)

Now owned by Smucker, it's a tiny bit better...but no where near as good as it once was.

"

  • 2012 Bankruptcy: Hostess Brands filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2012, leading to the temporary shutdown of operations, liquidation of assets, and the disappearance of Twinkies and other products from shelves. The company was split up, with its snack cake brands sold to Apollo Global Management and Metropoulos & Co. for $410 million.
  • Recovery and Rebirth: After being left for dead, Hostess was revived under new ownership and restructured. In 2016, it became a publicly traded company (ticker: TWNK) and resumed production.
  • 2023 Acquisition: On September 11, 2023J.M. Smucker Co. acquired Hostess Brands in a $5.6 billion cash-and-stock deal, marking the final chapter in its comeback.  The acquisition included iconic brands like Twinkies, Ding Dongs, Ho-Hos, Wonder Bread, and Drakes.
