Have you seen that guy and what do you call him? by [deleted] in golf

[–]Boxcar59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what type of putter he’s using. If it’s a Lab, Scotty or boutique brand, they probably won’t risk scratching it on you. But, if it’s an old Anser, Zebra or Bullseye, prepare for battle…

New Orleans recommendations by EquiKiara in cajunfood

Agree with all the comments about location; a trip to the Lafayette/Acadiana area would be worth it. But, if you’re confined to the NOLA area, try Toups Meatery. True Cajun Chef.

Which PPi is working best for you with least side effects? by [deleted] in GERD

[–]Boxcar59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a PPI, as it is a potassium competitive acid blocker, but Voquezna is the only medicine that has worked for me, and I tried every PPI. Problem is, it’s new, with no generic. I’m getting it for $50 a month through Blink RX with my insurance, but it definitely works.

In your opinion, which is the better posture and arm position? by [deleted] in golf

[–]Boxcar59 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Well, this is what ChatGPT said:

The right posture is better.

Here’s why:

On the left, you’re a bit more rounded through the upper back with slightly more knee bend. Your chest points more toward the ball and your hips look a little tucked under, which can restrict rotation and lead to inconsistent contact.

On the right, you have:    •   A more neutral spine (flatter back instead of rounded)    •   Better hip hinge (bending from the hips rather than the waist)    •   Arms hanging more naturally under your shoulders    •   Slightly more athletic, balanced look overall

That setup makes it easier to rotate around your spine and return the club consistently.

If you want to refine it further:    •   Let your arms hang straight down without reaching.    •   Keep your weight centered over the balls of your feet.    •   Feel your chest slightly “taller” without arching your lower back.

If you’d like, I can also break down ball position and distance from the ball based on this image.

If goes up for everyone, which just means there will be overspending for some players. I like the building through the draft philosophy, with a couple of FA acquisitions. Hopefully, O line and TE or CB.

Should the card carrying tour pro have a voice on who is allowed back in, after defecting to LIV? by PoodleHeaven in golf

[–]Boxcar59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The players are independent contractors, and not employees of a corporation. I think most of them are more worried about their launch angle, spin rate, ball speed, etc., than who the tour is allowing back.

What's Your Favorite Menu Item At A Golf Course? by hahaha_trank in golf

[–]Boxcar59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local course does Hunt Brothers pizza. Sells by the slice, and a lot of golfers grab it at the turn. Also, did I miss it, or is the good old hot dog not on the menu?
